Thanks for the comment. I'm glad to have an option other than the GMC letters.

Thanks for the springs links Mark. I don't have a anchor point for the strap, so I'll use the method that one of the members said by pivoting the assembly forward and reset the rear bolt, seems safer for me that way.

Didn't really do a lot, but I took it to a car cruise in Weston over the weekend. For most of the trip there was no traffic coming or going on this little highway. Nothing but a railroad track to the left, and crop fields and trees to the right. It was like I had been transported to the mid-1960s. It probably sounds dumb, but it was the most enjoyable drive I've taken in a long time.

Removed ugly, rusty, mismatched wheels and replaced with some 15 x 8 Rallys.

Was going to just replace windshield rubber with new but once I got it all out I decided to use a new glass that I had bought for my '64' project.

Didn't do anything to my truck today, but went and looked at this 66 2wd 4spd manual with a 305, $1,000 as is or rebuild a 350TBi engine for him, not sure if I need more projects.

Well, not actually today but on Saturday 7/28 the local Self Serve Wrecking Yard had a 1/2 off sale. I picked up a Mark VIII cooling fan & a Ford Taurus cooling fan @ $14.00 each but my Big Score??? I found a pair of A/C vents out of a 1964 Chrysler for $3.00 ea.!! I NEVER liked the cheap a$$ plastic vents supplied by Vintage Air. These Chrysler vents are real metal & are chrome plated and look SWEET!! Granted I have at least a couple of hours of cleaning & polishing these vents but I think they look great - at least it's a 150% improvement over the Cheap Plastic Vents that are supplied by Vintage Air. Oh, I also scored a SI 2 alternator for another $7.00. Yep I'm a happy camper.

I am a little biased, but I think they look great, he did a really nice job on them
have ordered a set of stickers to go on them, should be here in a week or two, they are black with a silver bowtie outline

Damn Terry,

You are the Pick 'n Pull king! Those are the PERFECT vents for our trucks. I'll have to add those to my swap meet list. Congrats!

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Today we'll connect the new gas delivery system, mount the valve covers and fire it up. New windshield proved to be too much for the glass installers yesterday, the chrome strips kept messing them up. They'll try again today. We have a bunch of little stuff that needs to be done today and tomorrow if I'm going to drive it to Carlisle Saturday.

Wish me luck!

New windshield is in I'm told. I haven't seen it yet, wasn't able to make it down to the shop Thursday. I'll be there this afternoon though.

After Stripping 40+ years of really bad ideas, Paint Choices and hack body work i am pleased to announce I am now 1/16 of the way done with my C10.
I just finished the DP90 Primer, I bought this truck for $700.00 non running in a field, Bought the brothers 3" 5" lowering springs and shocks from the same guy for $200 last week, stripped entire truck inside and out, fixed cancer doors and rockers, and more damn mirror holes than you can imagine. here she is as i left her at 9:00 P.M. Went looking for parts for my 66. The only thing I found was a WAY overpriced whole truck that looked like it had been through a war.

I desperately need a hood!

Actually no real wrk done, but did score a set of buckets seats at a yard sale this morning for $25. They are from a Chrysler mini van 2nd or 3rd row, but will work great as the rear seats in the 'Burb. Will post pics in my build thread.
