It kind of belong over here. I am still work in progress on building my truck with static drop and would like to see how it will turn out to give me some motivation along the way... As I measured frame mounts and transfer it to cab I have 8" clearance from lowest part of side cab outer rocker bottom lip. Any of you have side pic of truck with this side clearance? 64 fleatside SWB. Might go down some more, now was only frame with drivetrain.

From what i remember i bought 3-4 or 4-5 springs last time we changed them. I also trimmed a little off the front. Prob going to switch to disk breaks finally with a 2in spindle and drop the rear about 3-4in's more later this summer....Its not a show truck, its a driver, but it is pretty dang slick IMO and it gets alot of attention.......

I'm not real sure. I'll look next time I get a chance and let you know. I know the wheels are 17x8's but I can't remember the tire size.

Not completely done, still checking for leaks. Still need to put the c-notch in. Not sure what caps I'm running yet either. 5in drop springs out back with 2in blocks. 3 in drop coil and drop spindle in the front. HUGE, braking difference with the discs and booster, serious it unreal!

Thank you Steve - "Runoleum" works wonders.

Sway bar is next then I think I'm pulling the front shock mounts to figure out the new placement like in Mark's post.

I love the stance... what size wheel and tire are you running. I have a 60 that is going down 5.5 in front and 5 in back. Im looking to run 17x8s if possible without rubbing in the front.

15x8, 235/75/15, I almost went with a bigger wheel. The rear is a non issue, my front may be an issue. Haven't been able to drive it around enough to tell yet but it's pretty close o the fender.

Anyone else have driveshaft/pinion angle issues after adding 2 inch lowering blocks? The PO had already cut the springs, but it rode fine. Added the blocks over the weekend and the thing vibrates like hell now.

Kind of all around. Most noticeably in 3rd. I have a 4 speed with granny low, so i start in second, which is a bit rougher feeling, but 3rd is awful. 4th isnt too bad, but still not like it use to be. When I let off in 4th going around 35 or so, it sounds like something is rubbing. Been under and checked, no ssigns of either driveshaft rubbing on anything.....

It looks like on of those exaggerated drawings with the big wheels that you see on t-shirts. Not Ed Roth but the newer style.

I confused is that second photo with the 5/7 drop already done or is that photoshoped? If that is a 5/7 drop I hope you do not have any pot holes or speed bumps in your town. It must be photoshop because you have no frame rail behind your back tire only grass. That looks lower than 5/7.

I've got a stock set of front springs and a set of jeep tj springs for the rear. How many coils do I need to cut off the stock fronts to make my truck sit level with jeep springs in the rear?
