Now that I think of it I believe it was a 54. This thing had so many cool little details. It had leather covered fenders with random stitching that carried through to the rest of the steel body, big honkin' wrenches for pedals and it was laid out. The best part was the owner autocrossed it and won his class at a previous event

...and here's a pic of my truck rolling back to the motel Saturday after the show doing 65 MPH just a couple inches off the ground and a pic of my truck and a killer 67-72 C-10 that parked next to me sometime the night before.

Re: '63 GMC Project
I wonder if the owners of that leather clad 54 and the fire truck are fans of Steam Punk genre?
Sure seems to show some inspiration there, unless the 54 is born of Frankenstein.... |

Re: '63 GMC Project
I've been watching this truck a lot. I love it. The patina and original color is nothing but perfect. If you'd sell it and I had the money I would bring him home right away. Maybe one day we booth are ready. 'til then enjoy every second of it and ride safe!
I vote for some wider WWs. |
Re: '63 GMC Project
Thanks! I can't imagine myself ever wanting to sell my truck but you just never know what the future brings you. If that day ever does come I'll be sure to let you know.

Re: '63 GMC Project
I won't have the money soon either. It's pretty hard to find a job these days so now I've four years of studying before me instead. So both my '66 Cadillac, '59 Buick and my old GM truck has to wait - even though one of them is the absolute top priority.
I understand, I don't wanna sell my '66 Volvo either. It's a cheap and reliable daily driver. (gas is at least twice as expensive here) http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7094/7...680cd368f2.jpg |
Re: '63 GMC Project
Wow, that Volvo is super cool.

Re: '63 GMC Project
Got to see your truck finally out in Ohio. Big thumbs up man. Really dig it! I need to find one of those hot wheels.

Re: '63 GMC Project
Thanks man, I appreciate it! Columbus is such a huge show, I always see trucks from these boards but never seem to meet the owners. I did meet C10addict last year though.
