Re: Post Your 60-63 Body Style Chevy/GMC Trucks

Installed my bumper guards and took some new pictures at the golf course by my house today. The holes had always been there for the guards--finally got around to adding them. These are also the first pics of the spotlights in the daylight.

For a truck that looks like I drug it out of the weeds, I've actually done quite a bit to it this year. The spotlights and bumper guards, of course. I back-halved the front fenders and painted them to hopefully look like they were never off the truck. I had a guy beat out the rear box sides where the wraparaound bumper caved them in back in the day. That's not perfect, but not bad, and I didn't have to paint it. I had it lettered in weathered hand-lettering with my granddad's old used car lot name. I found and added a set of the correct '63 hubcaps. I chenged out the seat to a nicer one that the springs don't damage my posterior. I added the bed rails, and a pair of blue dot taillight lenses. The side moldings were in bad shape, so I installed new ones. I also redid the suspension with new ball joints, and a CCP kit with springs, shocks, perches, and rear control arm.

I've had the old thing for nearly six years, but 2011 was a big one for me. Here are the latest ...
