You would think so, but it's actually very solid and stable at speed.

Have you seen the frame under this thing? I have a hard time believing this thing wouldn't kill it on an autocross track. The braces have braces. No wiggles, all giggles

Re: Project Family Truckster: 2wd Conversion Turbo LSx Blazer Build
Thanks for the compliments.
Lets make one thing clear before we go any further....all of the "self tuning" ECUs out there are not anywhere close to self tuning. All they do is use wideband O2 feedback to bring the fuel or VE table in line. You still need to know how and why to manipulate the timing table, start-up fueling, acceleration enrichment, etc. That said, yes, the Holley will "learn" the fueling requirements in boost, and automatically stores that. It also uses a real-time closed loop fueling that can and has saved several engines when voltage drops, fuel pumps start to die, etc by cranking up the injector pulse to meet the desired AFR. |

Still running good. Decided to change up the exhaust a lil bit. Mufflers are for dweebs.

Re: Project Family Truckster: 2wd Conversion Turbo LSx Blazer Build
Man that is pretty quite. I was expecting it to be louder. My 5.3 with a 70 on it was twice as loud. Might have to reconsider putting mufflers on mine now!

It gets a LOT more rowdy when the wastegate opens (dumped to atmosphere) but it's like that with the "full exhaust" I had on it too. |
Re: Project Family Truckster: 2wd Conversion Turbo LSx Blazer Build
Looks like I have an admirer. I had to do a quadruple take when I saw this posted on Instagram. WTF.

Haha I sent that to you on IG. I had to double take it when I saw the wheels but knew the front end was a different color.

Re: Project Family Truckster: 2wd Conversion Turbo LSx Blazer Build
I knew instantly when I saw it! Still one of my favorite builds!

Re: Project Family Truckster: 2wd Conversion Turbo LSx Blazer Build
Some updates. Haven't done a whole lot to the truck but play with it. The warm winter weather lately has allowed me to go out and put some miles on it.
Had it to the dyno again last fall at my bud's shop. Made a lil more power again. Lol. Got the high power number for the day. https://scontent-ord1-1.xx.fbcdn.net...9a&oe=592EFE61 I also upgraded to the new Holley touch screen from the older version. Fabricated a new dash panel out of aluminum to house it as well. http://i235.photobucket.com/albums/e...pslchpdaoj.jpg http://i235.photobucket.com/albums/e...ps5mw9vbr6.jpg Quick little rip on a 70 degree Feb day in IL. |
Re: Project Family Truckster: 2wd Conversion Turbo LSx Blazer Build
Wow, those are some really decent numbers.
