3" dropped bell tech spindles, 2" shorter spring in front. re-arched the leaf springs in the rear and built a shorter shackle to get 6" out of the back.

The old hot rodder in me could not resist the "big & littles" when it came to tires so the massive rear rubber on the 17" wheels picks the rear back up quite a bit.

The picks i see on here i like. I dont want to put the tires i have on it if they look to wide and short.

235's will be really skinny I think. Mine currently has 235's up front, it doesn't look right in my opinion. I think 245-255's ought to be up front.

Love the long beds, yours have wood in it or is it metal?

Ultra do you have stock or drop spindles, and did you cut or remove your bump stops? Also how is the ride and could you go lower? Truck looks sweet!!!!!!! And I agree, no paint!

Hey guys, I've got a quick question for everyone. If you have a 6" drop in the rear, do you have to the frame?

Everything I've read and the people I have talked to say that you need to notch the frame for anything lower than a 4" drop in the rear.

I love the stance of your truck. I just purchased a 66. It's my first project. I have a couple questions I was hoping you might answer for me. I want to drop the front 2 in the front. is yours a 3 or 4" drop in the back?

Thanks for the help!

4" CPP springs out back and for the life of me I can't remember what I went with up front. Thinking 2" but not sure. I wish I knew so I could order lowered shocks. Anyone happen to know the stock height of the front end on a 66?

It looks like you still have a good amount of tire gap between the front fender. I would say it's a 2" drop coil. With companies like CCP, they have a generic lowered shock for all their kits. A shock for a 2" drop coil and a 3" drop coil is going to be the same.

Hey thanks! No idea what the total is. It sits on trimmed drop springs up front and cut stockers with 2" blocks out back. Removed the bump stops and mounts both front and rear. Relocated the shocks up front. Pie cut the control arms. Mild C notch in the rear.

Its pretty much maxed out. I think I am going hunt for a set of Jeep springs for the rear. The rear is very "buck board-ish" right now. Front is good.

I need to lose that gap in the front. Will 3" springs do that? Thanx!

Some great stance and lowering here.

I have a '66 Short Fleetside which has been lowered with heated cools etc a long time ago. THREAD HERE: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=585901
The truck behaves like a rubber duck on water when doing the bends.

It is fitted with a 350/3 speed auto combo that obviously influences ride height a bit.

I am looking at replacing the shocks and springs when I repaint and strip down the truck.

Brothers currently has 50% off on the lot.

My truck parked up in the garage shows these measurements to the underside of the fenders.

Front 27 1/4
Rear 26 1/2 on passenger side
26 on driver side

Does anyone have the stock standard measurements for these truck front and rear please??

The measurement from the fender lip to the center of the hub would be a better way to measure. Otherwise you have to take the tire size in to consideration. That being said I don't know the stock measurement.

This is my '65.

4" LMC coils and lowering shocks on the rear.
2" drop spindles and lowering shocks on the front with cut coils.

I would like to get a bit of a reversed steel rim going for the rear wheels.
Any suggestion where to go to get the widest, deepest that will fit with a set up like this?

Any help would be appreciated
