Re: The Ulitmate Craigslist find thread
I can't say for absolute sure but I bet that truck is an old Anchor Motor Freight car haul cab. 671 nonturbo. They used to sell them out of Framingham where their terminal was at the GM plant. Putting on a dump body and a snow plow was a very popular thing to do. There are still a few around. I used to drive one just like it except it was for M&G Convoy, a division of Ryder.

Re: The Ulitmate Craigslist find thread
I also agree on the 6-71, seeing that it is a C-90 (Technically an H-90).
Nice little Dump. Wish it was closer, lol. |
Re: The Ulitmate Craigslist find thread
I'm always broke when the steals can be had! And it's less than 100 miles away!

I'm not looking for any of the big trucks, but check this guy out! Starting at $600! I figured someone here could find something worth looking at. |

This one's too good not to share... A friend of mine out in MN just sent me this on FB marketplace this morning. If only I was closer or had more room, the '61 could use some company.
It's a 1965 GMC 4000 with 2,880 miles according to the seller, and I believe it... Attachment 1894817 Attachment 1894818 Attachment 1894819 Attachment 1894820 Attachment 1894821 |
Re: The Ulitmate Craigslist find thread
I agree, real nice truck.
Love the Chrome package. I would be making a Rollback out of this one. No 2-Speed Rear, but great choice would be a 3-Speed Aux Trans added to it. |

Re: The Ulitmate Craigslist find thread
It was on a 2 axle IH grip truck with a 6V-71 Detroit. It's not exactly petite but, it isn't gigantic either. I need to pull out the transmission pallet with a forklift and get the model number. If I remember correctly, it has both under-drive and overdrive. I also have a smaller overdrive like a Hone lying around. it was behind a Toyota 4 cyl bus engine in a B-20 Dodge van set of for trailering.

As my sister would say "how cute". 1951 GMC $6500. Not mine! Hop hauler as in hops for use in beer! :mm:
https://portland.craigslist.org/grg/...881973873.html I have a 1951 GMC pick up with a 248 engine and a manual four-speed transmission With the Hi-Low rear end. I have The clean original title. This truck has 22,000 Original miles. It was used as a hop hauler around a farm in the Yakima Valley. It runs and drives and fires up better than most new rigs. I just replaced the mechanical fuel pump. That has already been converted to 12 Volt. It has all the exterior badges, chrome around the headlights, and just needs some glass replaced. They are all flat panels so easy to come by. The tires are in good shape and has the old-style Rims. I am asking 6500 OBO. If you have any questions or want different angle photos text or call |
Re: The Ulitmate Craigslist find thread
You could throw a short bed with some stepside fenders as dually fenders & have a fun litt...I mean a fun big ride.

Another unusual truck. 1946 Chevrolet with one of them foreign jobs under the hood. As a result there seems to be some confusion as to price. This is not mine!
https://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/...876176974.html I am selling an 1946 2 ton truck that has a Jaguer V12 engine in it. It has a transmission in it as well. I dont know much about it. It was left to me on my land a few years ago. It is a fantastic project truck for someone. They dont make em like this anymore. I have NO TITLE for this. Delivery is possible. Asking $2000 or best offer. |

Nice truck. Wide Fenders, Spoke Wheels, Low Miles and in real nice condition.
Strange no 2-Speed Rear though. It didn't say, but should be a 5-Speed anyway. |

Re: The Ulitmate Craigslist find thread
Nice 9500.
I would definitely be looking at this one if it were closer. Strange it states "Automatic Transmission" though when it is clearly a 10-Speed RR. Interesting Shifter Handle. Looks like a custom add on. |

Re: The Ulitmate Craigslist find thread
This doesn't seem like too bad of a price for a napco.

Re: The Ulitmate Craigslist find thread
Nice burb indeed. Love them V6's,
Although...humffp, it's not a napco. Went on their website and they appear to be factory 12 and 44 axles. I think these dealers see a early closed knuckle axle and automatically think it's a napco. There is no pictures of the front side of the axles, only rear, and show no removable "ham" like on a napco. The V6 does look to have rebuild valve covers though..and that's about it. Do I like it? Yes, would I want it, no, not for $25g |
Re: The Ulitmate Craigslist find thread
For quite a while, There was a NAPCO Studebaker truck floating around for sale. That too didn't look to have NAPCO axles.
