Well, I spent the morning correctly installing the panhard bar crossmember and mount. I also installed the core support crossmember. Pics...

The only regrets I have are not going with the touring vs mild and not ordering the inner frame structure PB now offers. The reason I say that is I believe the touring ride height will be closer to the drop this truck had when I got it (5.5/7 vs 4/6) and I plan on driving this truck like a sports car so the inner structure would be nice to make the chassis more rigid. I may still order it and install it later when it comes in. :ito: |
Re: Project: Shiro
Go on, order it, you know you want too!

Re: Project: Shiro

I REALLY REALLY like the new crossmember brace but couldn't bring myself to spend that much money so I went with the adjustable TA one. Its totally worth the money but I'd rather have a DM instead. |

Made more progress over the last few days.
Got the rear drum brakes removed and the CPP kit mocked up. Attachment 1336643 Front end together with the exception of the tie rod ends. I didn't have a drill bit to drill the spindle to accept the bolts and hardware for the rod ends. Attachment 1336644 Went to Lowe's first thing this morning and got a 5/8" drill bit. Attachment 1336646 This is before trimming the rack to bring the toe closer to correct. I have trimmed each side a bit but I think more is needed. I'd like to get it on the ground with some weight before I trim any more. Attachment 1336647 |
