3" dropped bell tech spindles, 2" shorter spring in front. re-arched the leaf springs in the rear and built a shorter shackle to get 6" out of the back.
Attachment 1224211 The old hot rodder in me could not resist the "big & littles" when it came to tires so the massive rear rubber on the 17" wheels picks the rear back up quite a bit. |
Re: How about some pics of Static dropped 60-66

Hey guys, I've got a quick question for everyone. If you have a 6" drop in the rear, do you have to the frame?

Re: How about some pics of Static dropped 60-66
I love the stance of your truck. I just purchased a 66. It's my first project. I have a couple questions I was hoping you might answer for me. I want to drop the front 2 in the front. is yours a 3 or 4" drop in the back?
Thanks for the help! |

4" CPP springs out back and for the life of me I can't remember what I went with up front. Thinking 2" but not sure. I wish I knew so I could order lowered shocks. Anyone happen to know the stock height of the front end on a 66? |

Its pretty much maxed out. I think I am going hunt for a set of Jeep springs for the rear. The rear is very "buck board-ish" right now. Front is good. |

Re: How about some pics of Static dropped 60-66
Some great stance and lowering here.
I have a '66 Short Fleetside which has been lowered with heated cools etc a long time ago. THREAD HERE: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=585901 The truck behaves like a rubber duck on water when doing the bends. It is fitted with a 350/3 speed auto combo that obviously influences ride height a bit. I am looking at replacing the shocks and springs when I repaint and strip down the truck. Brothers currently has 50% off on the lot. My truck parked up in the garage shows these measurements to the underside of the fenders. Front 27 1/4 Rear 26 1/2 on passenger side 26 on driver side Does anyone have the stock standard measurements for these truck front and rear please?? |

This is my '65.
4" LMC coils and lowering shocks on the rear. 2" drop spindles and lowering shocks on the front with cut coils. I would like to get a bit of a reversed steel rim going for the rear wheels. Any suggestion where to go to get the widest, deepest that will fit with a set up like this? Any help would be appreciated |
