Re: Soon to be Crewcab Dually
Such a bummer but kinda refreshing to see a build that didn't start out very solid for you. :hm: Rust or not, I know you guys will knock it out of the park in the end!

Re: Soon to be Crewcab Dually
Wow Dino, I had no idea the Crew Cab was that rusty. You're definitely doing it right, and you've got a good guy on it. I anxious to see pictures of the progress!
I'm always blown away at how you find more trucks than anybody I know. You must have the entire Phoenix/Tempe/Mesa area scoped out. In the future, I am going to put those skills to work and see if you can find me an original paint (white) longbed fleetside box that I can make a trailer out of. When I'm done with my '64, I want a matching slammed patina'd trailer, with the same wheels as the truck. |
Re: Soon to be Crewcab Dually
Joe Dirt sez: Daaaaaaaang! That's gonna be nice though, to dynamat and rustkill the roof before putting the new headliner in. Have fun, this is gonna be sooo killer when done.

Re: Soon to be Crewcab Dually
we new you were not scared #1

Re: Soon to be Crewcab Dually
This hobby is sooo cool that a "little" rust like that is nuthin for a crew like you guys. You'll have that thing solid in a snap then turn it into something at the top of the scale. You've shown us how already! YOU dude, have the vision and gumption to make some cool trucks - props!
|
Re: Soon to be Crewcab Dually
Glad to see you're not afraid of a little rust! Cant wait to see the cab repaired and painted!! P.S. I love your trailer!! lol
|
Re: Soon to be Crewcab Dually
Dude nice to see you back on the crew.....and as far as rust repairs go...welcome to my world of rain and rust....lol....I am sure you will knock it out of the park dude you have mad skills. What was that i saw ? 8 doors a box a cab and a bunch of other parts you scored ? Leave some parts for the rest of us dude.....lol

Re: Soon to be Crewcab Dually
and thanks dudes for the cool words! today I drop all the new inner and out rockers and floor pans ... I am getting amped up know
|
Re: Soon to be Crewcab Dually
Thats gonna be so cool. I have to laugh at the rust, feel for those east coast guys. We throw better stuff away, on the flip side, thinking of doing a killer custom after my short wide is done.
|
Re: Soon to be Crewcab Dually
LOL! That ain't a rust problem. You should see some of the ones here in the Middle Coast!
Seriously tho, dude, always amazing builds from some of the best talent I've ever witnessed. I scored a 1 ton chassis from a 1976 crew cab car hauler that had a 20" bed. Not sure what to do with it, but it'll be big! |
Re: Soon to be Crewcab Dually
Hey, Dino have you seen the extended suburban at finish masters in Mesa?

Dino I found another old pic of your crew cab towing my suburban! its probably about 12 years ago? Time flies by so fast!! I feel kinda bad about all the rust you are fixing, but it will be worth it big time!
