Very nice. It's going to be really compact. I like it.

Re: PO has me PO'd

Pictures doesn't do it justice, but your right it is compact. Now I have to figure out the wiring for the elec. water pump. I just bought a polished alum. rad., can't wait to get it next week

They were repop from GMP about 10 years ago, they stopped making them again, found this set at a Chevy dealer in Texas

I think the 'GPW' project needs a set of March brackets

Re: PO has me PO'd

Here's some pics. of the PS side mounted up, after degreasing and paint stripping for a couple hours, no real issues to speak off, except the relocating bracket on the alternator. Seems like they counterbore the bracket, but want you not to use it, as the bracket has to be flipped over to get the correct orientation.Anyway, the plant manager is going to pull one off the production line in a couple weeks so I can counterbore it from the correct side, go figure...

Hey Red, you were rite, just ordered my rebuild kit for the saginaw pump(Advance Auto)
Got to use my NOS PS cap/dipstick, thanks billsbowtie

BTW, use anti-sieze(high nickel) whenever using steel fastners into alum., if it galls the threads you will never get it out!

Got some work dun on Jon's and my own. Got a sweet deal from Byrd on a polished alum. rad., and put a coat of paint on the PS pump. Looks like I will have to modify the brackets as the rad. is alittle wider than stock

Big J, got to breaking out the welder:lol:
Got to hang lower B post so I could move on to fit up the cab corners, it looks a little rough, but that is just the beginning. The rocker covers all this area, so you won't see it. In a hurry and caused a run in the paint:lol: Sure is nice to work with shiny new metal, one spot of rust left and that is on the pass. lower B post

I've been worried about the fit of the cab corners, since I have never dun them before, but I shouldn't have been. The contours fit perfect...

Jon sells these really cool fleetside beds, I could turn it into a trailor and haul my arse around the country. I wonder if these trucks rust out much:lol: and would support me and my life style

The trailer thing sounds feasible, but I'm not so sure about supporting your wild and crazy lifestyle.

I couldn't agree more...well...I guess we could add a cooler full of beer to that scenario to make it perfect.

BTW, you may want to bring your fishing gear, although I have plenty, I have a pond full of Blue gills, some Bass and a handful of Walleyes.

not bad, but how about those other valve covers you showed me. They looked really trick, center bolt..How do you two tone an engine?

Can I ask how much???

I am still thinking about the other covers- waiting for them to do the air cleaner so I can see how it looks. Two tone was (is) going to be block/intake the darker color and the three inserts from the valve covers and air cleaner done in the lighter color

How much? I don't know (yet)

I enjoy the metal work, but the painting and degreasing and all the other little odds and ends drive me crazy. I think it's time to hang up the tool belt and let the kids take over

Good to see you haven't forgotten your basement buddy.

And very cool to hear the mod to the lower 'A' pillar patch panel, it's tough to work with those smaller tabs.
How about getting the 4 holes pre punched too?

While you have Jon on the run, get him thinking about modifying the pick up truck inner rocker piece for blazers, get it shortened up with the 'B' pillar holes in it, that's be sweet!
(the longer ones that incorporate the 'A' pillar section) < very nice piece BTW.

Honestly, he may regret having me work on his pan, all I do all day is point out what pieces could use work, he then comes out takes pics and sends it to the manufactor. I think he will be glad to see me go:lol: They are committed to making a quality product and act on my suggestions

Post up a pic. or part number n/s which pc. you mean, bin awhile since I worked on a blazer/jimmy:lol:

He's outta town, but I'll catch him n/w on the 4 holes

I bet he's fine with it, he'll end up selling the only parts the 'really' fit!

I checked the catalog and their calling it an "OUTER CAB FLR EXT"
Really great piece IMO.
