Re: How about some pics of 99-06

Here's my dad's 2000 Z71. First set of pics are installing a 3" Skyjacker lift in the front.
http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2.../Photo0139.jpg
http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2.../Photo0142.jpg
http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2.../Photo0143.jpg
http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2.../Photo0144.jpg
http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2.../Photo0145.jpg

Next set of pics, is the lift in the front finished, and the truck sitting on the 33's.
http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2.../Photo0146.jpg
http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2.../Photo0147.jpg
http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2.../Photo0148.jpg
http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2.../Photo0149.jpg

And the last set, is close-ups of the 33x12.50 tires. They are Mud King XT 33x12.50 15's...near brand new. They were never put on the road before we got them, just off-road. Less than 50 miles total.
http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2.../Photo0150.jpg
http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2.../Photo0151.jpg
http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2.../Photo0152.jpg
http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2.../Photo0155.jpg

BUT we took them off and put stock aluminum wheels back on because of 2 reasons: 1. The back wheels, rub really bad on the rear brake calipers, and 2. The front tires rub on the inner fender and the plastic on the bumper. SO, we're thinking about selling them and getting wheels with a different offset, and 31x10.50's.

Next plan: Overload springs, and stack 1.5 in. blocks with 3 in. blocks. A few years ago, my dad replaced the factory 1.5 in. blocks with 3 in. blocks, now we're just gonna stack them, and add in overload springs. Sorry for the big a$$ story on one post! Lol

Re: How about some pics of 99-06

Okay, lift is done. Put the factory 2 inch blocks in, stacked with 3 inch blocks [thought the factory blocks were 1.5, but they were 2.]
http://a4.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...31719055_n.jpg
Anyway, clearance is 10 inches in the back, 9 inches in the front.
http://a3.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...48646069_n.jpg

I'm thinking I'll open up a thread for my dad's truck.

I am thinking of adding a recon third brake and a under the tail gate brake light since my lights are tinted and could be hard to see so I want to be noticed when braking lol

It's very low though so if it's bumpy where you live I wouldn't do it. It scrubs the front fenders on every little bump but looks great doing it lmao

snagged some Denali bling off Kijiji.. This is a 2/3 drop with 275/60/20's. They rub in the front when I turn sharp and rub a little in the rear plastic inner fender if it's bounces through a dip or a bump. I'll probably try a 275/50/20 when these tires wear out.

Hello everyone, I'm new to this side of the forum. I just upgraded my daily driver to this 04 Yukon Denali. It was a one owner vehicle that was meticulously cared for down to the overpriced dealership maintenance schedule. The OCD owner even kept all of the new car literature from the window sticker to the leather bound owners manual, lucky. This rig has all the factory goodies accept for the rear DVD player ,as fare as I can tell. It's loaded full of things I didn't realise they made in 04. As of yet, the power of the 6.0 liter vortec and the three zone climate control, enjoyed from my heated seat is my favorite. The kids get heated seats in the back as well. The GPS\6disc\XM\radio lets you program ever meaningless function of the car. It will adjust foot peddles, seats, radio presets, mirrors, climate control settings, lighting features, auto door lock features... depending on what one of two drivers gets into the drivers seat. Sorry for rambling. This thing is crazy. I love it.
Oh, and the wheels are 22"

Re: How about some pics of 99-06

Had some FUN with my dad's 2000 Z71 over the weekend. MAJOR sarcasm by the way. Friday afternoon we were headed home from Springfield, we live about 60-65 miles from Springfield. We're on Interstate 44, and the throttle just quits. First thought was water in the fuel.
Throttle wouldn't work right at all, so we had to limp it to an exit into the closest gas station. Filled up the tank, put in some heet and octane boost. Nothin'. So for the next 45 minutes we limped it into Mt. Vernon, [about 10 miles], and stopped and ate chinese. Finished eating, got in the truck, started right up, so we ran across the road to O'Reilly Auto and bought a TPS. These dumbasses didn't even have the tools to change a throttle position sensor, nor did they sell them.
So we got in the truck and headed to Stotts City about 8 miles out where my dad's friend Jason runs a gas station, convenience store, inspection station, and auto garage [Massey's Super Stop just off of I-44 for those of you who ever go this way]. Figured he'd have the tools. So we limp it into Stotts City, Jason isn't there. He's out getting firewood, won't be back for an hour. So we limp it into the next town over, AGAIN, which is Pierce City.
Dad calls his brother to tell him meet us at Casey's which is right as you get into town coming from Fairview [where we live]. Well, we get 2 miles into Pierce City from Stotts City, and it just dies, this time it won't start up, and we're stuck in the road, with no shoulder. A couple kids come by in an F-150 and help push the truck to the nearest cross-roads, and we eventually get it going. We limp it into Pierce City, beat dad's brother to Casey's by about 3 minutes. He gets there, we change the TPS.
Truck starts up and goes. We get almost all the way home, till we're about 3, 4 miles from the house. Throttle cuts out again. On a damn hill. At an intersection. Throttle comes back, we limp it home and park it. Start it back up, son of a b!tch woldn't even back up.
So my dad calls his friend Dave, who works at AutoZone where my dad used to work before he went off on disability. 30% employee discount weekend. Dave said he was pretty sure it was the fuel pump, so he'd buy a pump and filter, bring them over Saturday. All we had to do was pull the bed. Easier said than done.
Saturday rolls along, off comes the camper shell, out comes the bed liner because it was easier to yank the liner out than to clear out the bed. All the bed bolts pop loose except the back 2 by the bumper mount. Lol, torched 'em off and just replaced 'em later. Also, on Wednesday I drove about 50 miles out to buy some Firestone air bags for the back of my dad's truck because constantly hauling a heavy trailer is bending the holy hell out of his rear springs. So while the bed was off we put the airbags on.
Straightened the springs out, and hopefully will help a lot with pulling the trailer. Anyway, Dave came over and changed the pump while dad changed the filter. After it was all said and done, started right up. Runs better than it has in years, by the way the pump was only putting out 15 pounds of pressure, I think it's supposed to be putting out around 60. And the TPS needed replaced anyway.
So, it's fixed. Apologize for the extremely long post....I needed to vent. Lol.

Anyway, here's a pic of my dad's truck I took yesterday. Bed back on, campershell off, and if you look close you can see the air bags on the frame.

What an ordeal! Glad you got it going. More and more it seems fuel pressure should be the 1st thing checked in the diagnosing process.
My 97 GMC quit running completely with 17 psi. ;)

Dub X, if you didn't buy a GM pump (a delco or delphi) from what I've been reading all over the net, you may be changing it again it in 6 months to a year. Just a heads up on what I've read about the non GM pumps. Mine went 126K before it gave me signs (hard starting) so I pressure checked it. It was bad. I dropped my tank and swapped in a new delco pump in a few hours. Did you swap the fuel filter too? It's a great time to swap it, you don't get gas everywhere
