Got it used. My Son gave it to me, and I haven't used it yet. He said it worked OK. He bent the cage on the Rhino with it.
I'll post this picture of it to cool you all off.

cheap isnt allways good , i heared some horror stories bout badly reconditioned blocks . youre assembling it youreself so thats one less worry but still check his work beforehand

The local Speed & Marine shop recommended them. They said they use them all the time.

No it didn't. A gallon of solvent was only $9.99. It's concentrated, and mixes 20 to 1. I did 10 to 1. So far just soaking the parts did a good job. I'll have to see how it does on dirtier stuff.

Great score on the parts washer. I know Harbor Freight has a bad rep for some of their stuff, but deals like this one just have to be jumped on.

Lots of my "use-it-once" or "I'm going to hit the chit out of this with a big beater" items come from that place, which is right on the way home for me.

Problem is - I go in there looking for a 10 dollar item and when I get to my truck I've got an 80 dollar receipt in my hand.

Mac. ;)

Yeah I know what you mean. You have to walk down the aisle you know what you want is with blinders on, and go straight to it. Turn around and walk real fast to the cashier.
I signed up for there mailer, so I get special coupon prices if bring the coupon with me. That $79 was one of the specials. At the store the parts washer was $109.99. E-Bay prices didn't even come close with shipping. The bad thing is it's made in China. But lately it's hard to find something that's NOT made there. :me2:

Yep - I get the same feeling when I buy toilet paper at Wal-Mart. Thing is, I don't think my a$$ notices the difference.

The only thing that can go wrong with it is the pump. Other wise the dirty parts won't know the difference either. Just like your dirty a$$ :haha:

Dennis for a good part cleaner I use "Krud Kutter" from Lowe's supposed to mix it 10:1 but 1:1 it really works well removing thick layers of grease, just melts it, just FYI if you are looking for something stronger.

Got a little more work done on the roof. And took of the A pillar drip rail. I got it to look like it should have been that way stock. I can't wait to get a skim coat on it.

http://belair.smugmug.com/photos/620929808_L2mvu-L.jpg

In case you forgot what it looked like here's the left side. I already hammered down the drip rail though.
http://belair.smugmug.com/photos/620929857_9iASV-L.jpg

While I was at it I fit the door better, and extended it to get the gaps correct at the side cowl panel. Also shaved the mirror, side trim and the antenna hole

I still have a lot more touch up welding to do, but ran out of gas. Need to get more Monday. Almost half way around the roof. Man is that time consuming. But worth it.

BTW that parts washer solution works good. Not great but good if you let it soak. Way better than nothing.

Also taking off the A pillar was a great idea. It was rusting underneath it. Even if i was keeping it I would take it off to clean the rust, and treat it, and paint it . It is only spot welded on, and came off real easy with a chizzle.

I have the frame almost done on the Studebaker. Put S-10 Differential in it with disc brakes. The U bolts had to be re bent so it would fit the lower spring mount,(I had to modify that too), it's the lower shock mount also. I had to make all new bigger brake lines and fuel line.

The drip rail treatmant is very cool!
gonna be a very subtle mod, but well worth the effort

i agree with that its going to be a very nice truck .
i once read about someone closing the gaps on the doors of his camaro by welding weldingrod ontoo the edge of the sheetmetal and grind them down untill the gap was right all around it looked pretty good and i can immagine it works better then laying big welds or using filler

Damn, you busy the other day your trucks coming along. Think I'm going to take my edge off the doors. I don't know about the roof? I'll see how yours turns out . Looks like a lot of work. How bad is it just to cut the drip edge off the roof?;)

Thanks Joe. It's a mod that you wouldn't notice right away. People will look at it and say something is different, but can't see it right away. It doesn't change any lines of the truck. It just cleans it up.

Thanks. The wide gap wasn't along the whole door. It was only in the middle of it. It was very irregular. That's why I didn't use welding rod. It was just as easy to build it up by weld it.

I always thought cutting off the drip rail leaves it looking like something is missing, and plain looking. That's why I'm making it a flair. Besides just cutting it off is the easy way out.
