Someone also came by and forced me to take one of my wings apart, so I figured I might as well get the finish on it :chevy:

Re: 68 project

Yes yes someone did come by and force you to do it. Guilty as charged. Then the guilty party had to go home and tear theirs apart because they had so much fun they wanted to try it. Always learn something when I come by. Had to have some reason to come by other than to stare at your truck.

I'm telling yall the pics of this truck are amazing but to see it in person it will take your breath away. It is BEAUTIFUL! He is a perfectionist.

 cknfrmr has been doing most of the work. I had good drive yesterday, I am really liking it when I can actually assemble something with knowing I do not have to take it back apart. :chevy:

Hey Larry, so what kind of primer are you going to use? Have you decided on a color yet?
I went to Maaco to get an estimate the other day and I told the estimator I had used some Rustoleum primer and she told me they would have to take it all off $$$ ...so I'll be doing a lot of sanding anyway. I really plan on taking "Auto Restoration" at Community College and doing myself but was just curious. Started talking $3000 or more just to primer....WTH? I do use SEM High Build primer I should've asked if that's ok.?? And I used Epoxy on the inside cab, esp the floor.

Actually if you look at post 546 page 22 you will see the color that is the color the entire truck will be. This the gray rimer I sprayed yesterday. It is a primer fill which is good to help fill imperfections and light scratches. I did use epoxy primer over the bare metal.

Sounds like you got it covered, no pun intend. Post 546, I'm on my way. Interesting color, like a Green Slate, jade, subtle. Is there a name for it?

Larry Larry Larry although I would love to take credit for doing work on your truck that is all you. All I do at the shop is ask questions and learn. Then go home and try to recreate the small simple things. Like redoing my vent windows. You are the master.

If you would not have asked I still would not have taken my wings apart and painted the frames, nothing wrong with asking questions so I can lead you in the wrong direction

Yes, I must keep the gate locked as it seems to be a tourist attraction in Kville :uhmk:

Re: 68 project

That is true. Larry has seen my undocumented ride. Didn't think it was worthy. Needs some work but I am proud of it. Waited a long time to get it. Thanks for mentioning it and posting pics. Had a great time going on the parts run.

After looking at this bumper I had out back and Robert and I discussed I had to hold it up on there and I think I actually like it. It will allow me to build the trailer I have been wanting and an actual way to pull it, plus it goes along with my military theme I am doing. And is not real obtrusive. What is your opinion on it ?

Re: 68 project

I like it .

Re: 68 project

I will sand blast it and paint it the off white and patina the bumper to match the front
