My mother standing by a 69 Dodge Super Bee. My father loved that car. I remember telling him to *dig a hole Daddy*. My way of telling him to do a burn-out!

Was curious so I did a little Google maps investigating... the Bret Harte Inn is now a retirement home. It amazes me how similar the block still looks.

I put together a photo album for our hunting camp in Northern PA and thought these couple were appropriate for this thread. Original camp was built in 1950, burned in 1990 (arson) and rebuilt.

Here's my Dad's 64 he had before I was born. He always says that truck was the real reason my mother was attracted to him. (In case the hair and bell bottoms weren't enough)
He said he lent it to his little brother once and forgot to tell him to keep an eye on the oil and it ended up with a siezed motor. (Straight 6) So they took the cylinder head off, put a bunch of oil or grease in the cylinders and pulled the truck down the road, popped the clutch and un-siezed the motor! He said it ran just fine after that. These pictures were in our family album as long as I can remember and I remember always flipping the album open to these two pictures just to look at the truck. I always thought this body style was super mean looking and I was hooked!

Back in the day (If I remember correctly) there was an advertisement for BB CST’s that read:
120MPH and still bring home the groceries.
Does anyone remember this?
Thanks,
Jake

My Mom's first car, the reason she looks so bummed is it always broke down, YES it's a Ford. And my first car, bought in 1968 for $275.00 and my Dad said I got ripped off.

So cool. To think what either of those would be worth now, even if they were rusted out.

My first car was a 1957 210 2 dr post, 265 powerglide, bought in 1968.

We gave $350.00 for it. This is the "Land of Opportunity" you know.

Who's 62 in the background? We have 62 SS convertible now.

Wow, a drop top, NICE. The 62 SS pictured belonged to the Dewale family, neighbors that's their house behind it. Custom built homes in that area (Wheat Ridge, Colorado) were really expensive back then around $25,000.00

I searched "vintage pictures", found this cool thread! I don't have any Custom series, but have a few Advanced Design to get scanned; and many 1957 Chevy wagon, Ford pickup (I'm sure nobody wants to see his pickup parked on the rim of the Grand Canyon), that don't fit in this forum.
Oh what the heck, here is my dad's father's Dodge pickup at the South Rim entrance to some park.

This was my dad's father's brand new 1957 Chevrolet Handyman wagon. I always loved riding along when we visited. Just before I got old enough to drive, he traded it for a 1972 Chevy (Isuzu) LUV pickup, which I used for awhile, and it was a P.O.S.
