small town school. 649 people live there and about 635 have come to watch the "show". guess they don't see much action...biggest excitement there is prob sitting around watching the cars rust...lol.

Where is that and what is that big building in that small community?

Great picture to see grandpa and grand daughter working together. Have you thanked the contractor for forgetting that stuff so you and she could have that golden moment?

I quit when the price went up to 50 cents . That was in 1978 never touched another . I also stopped all alcohol 2 years ago didnt have a problem other than the inflammation of my joints, my hand Dr suggested to stop before surgery and to not drink during therapy. I did and after a month I just decided to not start up again .

You really should quit but that's a personal decision.

I hope my son decides to quit. I wish he never started. He didn't start from seeing me smoke. Never did it. He started when his mom left. At least he's a moderate smoker.

The barn on the place where I'm repairing the summer kitchen. I'm not sure I've ever seen a bank barn with the cantilever on the side

No , He's gone and I'm glad . Granted he did a real good job of putting back together and for that i was happy . We were just inside the area he works in .

Like most contractors around here this guy had several things going at once all closer to his shop . It amounted to demo took place two months before anyone started the rebuild . then toward the end of things he tried to hire local guys to do some of stuff . I drive up and bust them blowing dope on the front steps . This kept up with different crews until a husband and wife team showed up . They were slow but lots better . You could turn you back on them and not worry.

We were nearing a year and with the rental house being sold out from under us and the years worth of problems we finally reached a point I could finish things . Lacked 3 days of being a full year . Kind of a mutual agreement he was done and we needed back in .

Sounds like a bad situation. If he decides which job has priority based on how far and is busy, what was he thinking taking on a house fire restoration farther away? Sounds like a family being displaced by tragedy didn't play into his figuring. Only about the money.

I believe that . I have a whole different outlook toward home contractors now .

I quit for 20 years. I figure that I'm old enough now not to worry about it. I still get a clean bill of health from my doctors. I have some other health issues but they are due to head injuries that I had in the past. I was hit by a car, I was in a bad car crash, and had a big rock fall on my head. That kind of scrambled my eggs.

If you wonder why my hair is long? It's covering up some nasty scars. Plus chicks dig it. ;)

That looks about right Mark except for the blood. Head wounds bleed like crazy.

When I got hit it didn't even hurt. Then my girlfriend started screaming. And then I realized that blood was pouring out of my head. And I thought "This is a problem'. I was a bloody mess when they got me to the ER. And they shaved a big patch of my hair to stitch me back up. I forget how many stitches but it was a bunch. But I looked weird with this big patch of hair missing and the Frankenstein stitches on my noggin'.

The weirdest thing about that was that I had a massive bruise on my left arm. On both sides of my arm. Like it went clear through. I hadn't fallen or anything. But I couldn't straighten my arm for about a year.

That looks good. I should make some Caldo De Pollo. I like mine real spicy.

My new to me S10 wheel arrived. My buddy that I bought the truck off of had a flat tire and put some funky spare wheel on it and now he can't find the other wheel which means I'll never see it. So I bought another so all the wheels match. I got a nice center cap too. I also got a new shifter. He was using a piece of PVC pipe for a shifter.

I always liked these wheels on S10's I have no idea why because they really aren't my style. The wheel nicer in person than in the pic. Time for new tires. Get the old girl back on the road again. :)

our out of town job, stopped at a rest area in the morn for a whiz, spotted this big cat...prob hunting deer. there is deer EVERYWHERE there. we almost hit about 20 on the road during the job. earlier this week we almost took out a science experiment, we were like 3-4 feet from smacking a deer with a tracking collar on it. they were always wondering onto the school grounds at our job to eat some green grass
