Seats look AWESOME> :metal::metal:
Check out the new issue of Rod & Custom. They have a tech article on shrinking metal with a scrunching disc. It has a Black & White 57 Chevy on the cover. |

Those seats look great!!! Good choice!!

Re: Project Vitamin C-10
I love the seats, Alan. The tweed in the insert kinda gives them the period look. They should look killer in the truck.

Re: Project Vitamin C-10

Nice. -W |
Re: Project Vitamin C-10
Man I am throughly impressed with those seats !!
They turned out so nice! I envy your ability to envision this stuff in your head well enough to get stuff like that done. I on the other hand have to draw it out to make sure that I like on paper what my brain cells are telling me is cool.... :lol: Soooo how does one get their truck in a magazine? I ask because when yours makes it, I want to get a copy so I can tell people I watched it get built, and point out the things on my truck I stole, or learned, from you!! |

Re: Project Vitamin C-10
Alan, was at the local watering hole yesterday and what to my wondering eye did appear but a 66 GMC on bags , orange, and howlstooth inserts in his seats simular to yours.. That is 3 vehicles I'm seen in the last year with the same inserts, the other 2 were camaros which were pace cars for the 500 in the 60's with that same fabric in the interior.. I bought a plain jane camaro 327, 4 speed that was sitting right next to one on the show room floor at Blossom Chevy in 67. My how things come back around.

Re: Project Vitamin C-10
I have to say that I have not posted on your build thread yet, as it took a while to read it all. You have an awesome truck and I hope to see it in a magazine someday. All of the hard work and pain and sweat that you put into it will be all worth it when you cruise it for the first time! I have loved reading all of your build and watching your truck come together. Good luck on finishing it the rest of the way... you have a lot to well earned praise coming your way and I hope that your truck brings you a lot of work once it is finished! Happy New Year and God bless you and your family!

We have a nice weather day today so I was able to paint the driveshaft and install it for the last time I hope. I also touched up the front bumper bracket where I had to cut it for clearance around the PS pump. I was also able to run the power wires to the seats and with Shannon's help we were able to tighten all the seat mounts that I made. After that we set the seats in place and got the driver side and center console bolted down. Happy New Year!! |
