Today I went to a little local swap meet and got a furniture dolly for 2 bucks. I'm gonna need that when I move. And I got a Craftsman toolbox that is loaded with sockets and wrenches for 50 bucks I thought that I did pretty good. That dang toolbox was heavy. I had my wife carry it. |

It got put in behind the shop when RC cola took over the sales. Quote:
I was very Surprised it was in the shape it is in. It does have a couple of rust spots. The pole that held it up is Galvanized. It's not rusted either. Glad you were thinking of your wife. Next thing you know you will be buying her a vacuum cleaner  |

It's hard to believe that RC got the edge over Coca Cola. Coke was fierce about cornering the cola market that's why memorabilia from the other brands is so valuable. Coke flooded the market with advertising and they are still #1. Although I like Pepsi better. I saw RC cola in the market today. I haven't seen it in years. I used to drink it as a kid. I should have picked some up but it was pouring rain so I tried to get as little as possible in my cart so I didn't have to to it load up in the rain. Oh well. Next time. I'll never forget waking up to cans of RC jumping around on the desk in my bedroom in the 1971 San Fernando earthquake. That scared the poop out of me I went running and my brother grabbed me and told me to stand in the doorway. That was my first big earthquake but I still run when the house starts jumping around. Earthquakes just rattle my nerves. |

1947-1960s – The Coca-Cola Red Disc Since 1947, the Red Disc or “button” sign has been used to advertise Coca-Cola. The strong graphic image of the disc shape, became a cornerstone for outdoor signage. In 1948, the discs began to be hung inside a place of business as advertising and decoration. |

I'd bet that Coke button is galvanized steel.

I just got back from checking on my cabin. The snow is melting and the roof has shed most of it.

Did the annual Generac maintenance today. Not much to it, oil & filter change, check the air filter (good) and the battery (also good).
It has run 51.5 hours since last year's service, nearly all of that in the past month or so due to storms. |

Not today, but yesterday, I stopped in to Cooter's place outside of Luray, VA and listened to some stained glass bluegrass. Looked around the museum and got some ice cream. Me and my sister hiked up on Massanutten Mt. and needed to pee on our way back (well, she did). Pretty cool joint!

I replaced the blend door actuator on my daughters Jeep Wrangler. It wasn't throwing heat out of the vents, actuator worked sporadically. Thanks to You Tube we saved a couple hundred labor costs and the part was only $30. This old coot is kind of sore this morning from being a contortionist under that dash!

If I can answer any other questions, I'll give it my best shot! Oh, almost forgot -- there are at least a couple units that have an engine with hydraulic valve lifters, so no adjustment is needed. Ours is one of those :) but unless things have changed, many others need valve adjustment. Not sure how often but manuals are available online and most info is available on the site. |

I went to Costco and ordered some new glasses. Also enjoyed a 1.50 Costco dog and soda.
