Good question and good answer. The natural assumption is that "south" is good - and, in comparison to "north", it is. But I have to say it also depends what you're looking for. For me, in the never-ending hunt for that elusive K20 Custom Camper with cab lights, I find that the majority of K's are in the pacific northwest, specifically WA and OR. If I want a swb 2WD, there are a lot in socal, and everywhere for that matter, but the K's seem clustered up in the northwest - i.e. where 4WD was needed and used (that is the key to where to look for what you want - figure out where it most likely would have been used). That's the down side, generally speaking, they HAVE been used, a lot. But still, I'd save a lot on shipping if I'd just move there.

Oh, and Sacramento. It's FULL of good stuff. Unbelievable how many nice examples I've found in that one city. Granted, it's a BIG city, but still...

68 GMC K20 4-spd with Yankee 77s (+ a 67 C10 and lots of K parts - worth a look even if you just want an NP205 or something like that - has a spare 72 350 also...) $5500 (for all of it, I think??) Wish I lived next door to this guy.

Thanks jocko! That's some pretty solid advice. I'm just looking for a 2wd c10 or c20. Lwb or swb, it doesn't matter to me. All i really want is a nice solid, rust free, original truck. I don't care if its weather beaten and used. I've been searching around pennsylvania for about 6 months, and the Pickens are pretty slim.basically everything I find around here needs floors, rockers, and cab corners.

I agree. Looks like original 69-only maroon as well, and with a lot of recent maintenance/rebuild included in that price. Picture it with stock white steeliness and PO3s....

72 C30 dually BBC $7500! I don't know if it is as rare as claimed, but cool nevertheless.

https://portland.craigslist.org/clc/...496266903.html

I have a 1972 Chevrolet Cheyenne Super 30 custom camper dually flatbed with extended wheel base

70,000 original miles
402 Big Block v8
Quadrajet 4bbl carb
HEI distributer
Pushes about 400hp
Turbo 400 3 speed automatic
Tilt steering
Power brakes/steering
A/C
Exterior cab lights

This is a reliable truck that I have been using as a daily driver. There is no rust and the frame rails are straight with no cracks. No knocks or taps, smokes the tires in all 3 gears. I wanted to make a low rider out of it and eventually drag race it. I have a pair of 20 inch wide deep dish slick rims i'll throw in. I was planning on replacing the dually tires with 2 super wide racing slicks. If I had a choice I would keep this truck for the rest of my life but since I lost my job I'm going to lose my house if i don't sell it.

I have the title in hand I'm the second owner.

This is a investment opportunity. One thing these newer trucks will never be is a classic. If you wanted to do a complete restoration this truck would be worth upwards of $40,000 or more. Everything on this truck is Original nothing has been swapped and if you look at the odometer you will notice that the numbers are perfectly in line with each other because it has not been tampered with. That is how you can tell it has not rolled over or been rolled back. Super 30 is the super sport of the classic Chevy trucks. C10's, C20's, and C30 chevys are way more common and easier to find and very few came with the big block. This particular truck is so rare I challenge you to find one the same.

Call, text, or email me any time the price is negotiable and I might be willing to take a partial trade.
Thanks,

Thanks,

I love when people post "I have title in hand and am second owner" What it doesn't say it that the truck isn't legally mine because I didn't register it cause I didn't want to pay the taxes due and I'm trying to cash in with a quick flip.. A few years ago I was at the Pomona California April Swap Meet with enough cash folding money to buy a truck. I found 3 I would have bought but the sellers were flippers with the titles in names other than theirs. How would you know the truck wasn't stolen and the title left in the glove box?

I was born and raised in Sacramento. There are a ton of trucks there for some reason. For a while I would go to pick and pull every other week and I could find all kinds of trucks that other member would love to get there hands on. I moved to Phoenix and thought the truck scene would be even better buts that’s not the case.

How about that combination. A camper with a supercharger! Call me crazy, but a heavy camper with a non-intercooled supercharger doesn't sound like a good idea. I would imagine that poor engine has seen some really high intake temps.
