Re: 68 Burb... here we go!!

A very good day, the nova is gone to paint. Now I get to clean the garage and work on the burb again!! I can't wait. First order of business is to pull the body off the frame again and run fuel lines, brake and air lines. I have decided to clean and paint the 396 and put it back in here. A ls2 swap is what I'd like to do but that just is not in the cards. Anywho I know you guys like pics so here they are

I told the painter who is hart robs buddy Todd crutchfield to black out the car. Everything but the wheels should be black!! I had to do something different to it, didn't want to go through all of this time and work and make it look like it did 6 years ago.

She's back home. I'm going to order new handles and have them painted black to match. She goes in for some tuning and I have a small tranny leak that needs to be found. Other then that time to drive her. Looking into some CPP drop spindles and rear drop leafs or 4 bar set up. Would love to bag it but not real sure. Thanks for the idea Raul I blame you for that one with te 4x4 comment. Lol

Superb build thread so far! Think I'll be looking into the Scott's front member as well after seeing yours. The stance is PERFECT! Can you tell me what backspacing your running on the front smoothies? Is the Scott's unit narrowed as well? Looks awesome with the rears out and the fronts tucked in like that!!!

jmedero 08-24-2012 10:28 PM

Re: 68 Burb... here we go!!

Thanks man. I am really happy with the full set up. The smoothies only come in one backspace in the 20's. I want to say 5 1/4 I think. They have been sold and the new ones put on.

Awesome! I'll be calling you next week with a couple of additional questions regarding options and to get the ball rolling on my burb! Major thanks to Juan for providing all the details on your front kit! His stance is EXACTLY what I'm looking for. :metal:
