Re: Post Pics of your Static Drops!!
In the front what is the first thing that makes contact so that it will not go any lower?

forestb
the bump stops are the first thing that hits with no front springs in it. so I removed them now the lower a arms are sitting tight against the cross member. it has stock spindles on it and the cross member is about a inch or 2 off the ground now. in the back the stock un cut frame rails are laying on the rear axel housing . I need to pan cake the front cross member 2 inches and put C notches in the back so I can put some short springs in it to get some working suspension . its going to be a 6cyl 5spd . |
Re: Post Pics of your Static Drops!!
A sheet of diamond plate steel and tired springs in the back. Lowered torsion bars in the front.

Re: Post Pics of your Static Drops!!
That is interesting I figured that the cross member hitting the ground would be the first thing to bottom out (excluding the bump stops of course). Would using tubular lower A-arms keep them from bottoming out first and allow you to go lower so that the front cross member makes contact with the ground?

CPP 2.5" drop spindles with 3" springs in front and 5" Springs with 2" blocks out back. Tires are 275/50 I think all around but switching to a 255/60 or so in the front. So that should bring it down a tiny bit more.

How does it drive? Are you running a c-notch, shock relocator, flip kit, or anything of that nature? |
