Haha I would kill for 50 or 60 degree weather and no more snow. Progress is looking great Dino, can't wait to see the cab painted and mounted to see how it sits.

Re: dinos just a clean bagged 66 shortbed
I can't remember what a 50 degree day is like. I love the look of the motor the valve covers really hit the "clean" theme right on the head.

Re: dinos just a clean bagged 66 shortbed
That engine is the bomb!
I would love to find a set of script valve covers in good shape. All of them I find are either boogered up by the PO or just plain thrashed. Steven |
Re: dinos just a clean bagged 66 shortbed

Re: dinos just a clean bagged 66 shortbed
Dino, sorry to hit the rewind button on you but back in post # 240:
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...&postcount=240 It looks like you used the high, IL6 motor mounts and frame mounts. With those did you have any clearance issues with the d-side exhaust manifold? I used the lower mounts that came out of the donor truck with the engine, and I had to take a serious notch out of the engine mount and cut the flange some on the frame mount so that the header flange would clear. (I posted pics last night) I was just wondering if you had to do anything like that to accomodate these manifolds? Thanks. |
Re: dinos just a clean bagged 66 shortbed

Re: dinos just a clean bagged 66 shortbed
Been lurking your builds for a while here. You've got killer taste and style when it comes to trucks dude! I absolutely love what you've done with this small block. The white is soooo clean! The PCV gettup is a nice touch too. Did you have the intake machined or did you make the filler hole yourself?

Re: dinos just a clean bagged 66 shortbed
Wait ....Blue ?...
Couldn't we like vote on a color....?.....You know phone and vote like on tv.... The blue might clash with my green truck that I want you to tow with that bad boy.....lol |
