The heated grips and seat along with the flaps that direct the heat up your feet and legs was nice in Montana . It was 37° the morning we left . Wife has heated gear too. Was also nice sitting in Pheonix traffic without the heat coming off the engine |

One of the few pictures I have of my 70 GMC. Unfortunately it has the wicked witch of the west in it. (Wife#2) The windshield looks cracked but it wasn't. Maybe it caught her reflection and cracked.

I've been getting some looks from store employees. Most of them are wearing a mask and I do not. As long as one of us has one on neither one of us should transfer the virus to the other right? We are good right? ;)
Well I thought I ought to just try one on and sort of get used to it in case it was made mandatory to get into some place. I went out to the shop today and put one on, but I wasn't happy about it! I have one of those custom made cloth masks. I don't have a large head or anything but I blew the elastic band, twice. It lasted less than 10 minutes total. I am done with it. White cloth is the wrong color for shop work anyway. |

Wow, look at that hat Boog is sporting.
|
Re: Random Photos ‘You took’
Noticed that did ya? Well that's as far as that hat has been this year and the 2nd half of the year isn't looking too promising either.
Well if you'll look over my shoulder you'll see all sorts of stuff along that wall of the shop. Today I moved MOST all of that straightening up and combining tool chests and what have you. Feeling pretty good about the room I've made and organized tools and parts I closed the door and came inside. 30 minutes later it dawned on me 1st thing tomorrow morning I need that extension ladder. Yeah, the one that's on the floor directly behind those shelves and ALL that stuff. Well I'll be dipped! |
Re: Random Photos ‘You took’
Hey Boog, you should know. The purpose of wearing a mask is to keep the wearer from spreading the virus to others, not to protect themself. We can have it for up to two weeks before we see symptoms but during that couple weeks we are contagious. I don't think most masks people are wearing protect them against a virus.
My neighbor is making masks and donating them. She gave me two for my son and I. They are cotton and made so you slip a couple coffee filters into the pocket between the two pieces of fabric sewn together. The elastic is nice. It's covered and wider than your construction dust masks (that a guy who has always been using them in his occupation can not find now!). Instead of going behind the head, one on each side goes around the ears. Now here's the thing. I try mine on and I'm thinking something's wrong with my ears. They just fold forward and the mask falls off. I know some people who wear glasses can't keep their specs from sliding down their nose but their ears work to hold them on. I wondered if my genetics gave me soft ears, some kind of defect. After several tries over a couple days I ask my son what he thinks of his mask. My son doesn't waste words. Doesn't say much at all. All he had to say was "It's too small". Man was I ever relieved? But you have to wonder. Did she just palm off a couple defective masks on me? Does she make a smaller size for children and her grand daughters grabbed the wrong ones? Or is she making them all too small and because they are donated they just find some elsewhere and never let her know? I'm going to have to lie if she asks  |
