that would be cool! i've been talking to a friend of mine today about having him make me a tonneau cover out of 1"-1.5" angle aluminum or steel for the side the two flat pieces for the top and have his uncle airbrush the wood and strips on it! i think that would look cool but that gonna be something i'll have done next summer

I really like the detail you are putting into your build.

Thanks....when I am laying on my back next week grinding the boxed sections of the frame and making it all nice and smooth.....thats really going to make me feel better..

I wasn't going to get so carried away.....it was just supposed to be a Driver with attitude.....Then one thing leads to another and of course i suffer from "Tim the tool man" disease....bigger badder worst...

The chassis and the cage are both NHRA approved.....there is no problem with any of that...

HP is another thing altogether.....I have alot of options there, so I started with a big bottom end to allow for lots of add on. So depending on how we drive the blower they figure if they underdriver the blower....detune it...It would start out around 600HP ish to the rear...Which is probaly where i will start it at to do a break in and get used to it. What it's able to do on the top side is alot more but i think we will wait until I get to the dyno stage before I start tossing those numbers around. But the plan is after it's broke in and running, to up the drives on the blower and hit it with a nitrous set up.
But we will see....I have already ran all the numbers and had them checked at the engine shop and by my chassis buddy......but at this point they are all numbers....I might never take it to the track and be totally happy with where we start out at....it's a play be ear kind of thing at this point

I just want to call BS on this before it's running.

It is really looking sweet! I'm loving the cross member mod to get the big ol blower pulley and belt in there! Those wheel tubs are big pimping! Keep at it man!

It always does until you hit the street! We just finished a compound turbo 98 Dodge that should be around 700hp. It's a street truck. I took it out today, and was like HE** Yes! Now my Longhorn is getting another turbo and I sure hope I don't break my trans input.

Well I haven't for got about my truck....just got side tracked with too many things at once.....So I finally got my old fire truck running and moving...it's a 1954 American Lafrance fire truck with a 883 cubic in gas fire 6 cylinder in it. It has 3 fuel pumps dual coils one distributor but runs 2 plugs per cylinder. Not only does it run now.....it actully moves too....just needs a good was job any scratch another project off the list.

The goal is to get rid and fix/move some of my "gems " to make room for a new shop to work in. I am getting too old to have a crappy shop...lol

That long box in the front...is actually a cool kind of truck it has a 3 on the tree with a pull out over drive in the dash...It has dual tanks, and a brake booster mounted to the inner fender on the drivers side.......and a bunch of other things i haven't ever seen before. I might not have the heart to hack it up and make it something faster and lower. Okay who am i kidding...

Here is what the seats used to look like.....I didn't like how high they sat up in the big back window...but in order to pass tech the driver seat needs a head rest...

So after a while I decided to wack te top of the seats down to get a better back window view....and build a head rest off the side of the cage for the driver...worked out nice I think.
