Well i parked her a couple of weeks ago. Wrapped the rims up with plastic, put the car cover on her, and took the battery out and said sleep tight for he winter as she hibernates, hopefully when i take the cover off of her she will meracuriously finished herself and be a nice finished green with the interiorr done. oh yah, the dreams.

Re: The Project Havoc....
i wouldnt leave the aloys under there even if you wrapped them in plastic i would rather have some old steel wheels to put under there during the hibernation .
it not only the fact the aloys will go dull over time and will take some time to polish again when a tire is loaded for a couple of months standing in one spot it will get a flat spot that you will feel when you drive the truck again next spring usually it will stop after some miles but if there not under the truck it whont happen couple of things ive seen done to classics here when stored inside is topping off the fueltank to prevent rust above the level of the fuel putting the car on jackstands to relieve the suspension and the tires mottballs on the seats (when there made of jute or wool) a moist eater/dehumidifier (dunno if there available in the states they work the same way as those little bags with pellets found in electronic packagingboxes ) in the cabin vaseline on the doorrubbers and some graphite in the locks and a squirt of light oil in the cylinders some of the guys putting there oldtimers to sleep are verry serious or plain hairsplitters/nutcases , i've seen them put cars on a lift and dry it with a towel and hairdryer after driving it in any rain .............there wives must love them |
Re: The Project Havoc....

Re: The Project Havoc....
Man, I know the feeling of having to put her up for the winter. I just like a lot of little things getting mine back on the road again, but my wallet told me to hold off. :)
I didn't realize you had money invested in that cad drawing. I thought it was something someone shared with you or something. If you end up sharing the cad file let me know. I would like to have a copy. BTW. You said you used an early 90's 4x4 rotor. Did you stay six lug? |

I'm thinking this might not really have anything to do with a truck. |

Ok, here is a little project that i am workin on for my daughter, it is a old pedal car, that i am turning into a wagon, it was suppose to be done for x-mas but that willl not happen. i am slightly modifying it to my needs. I found this one day walking with my bud through his fields checking the crops. It was 3/4 buried and i tripped on it, so of course i was gonna take it home. I had to put about 60 shrinks in it to staighten the metal plus some serious metal pounding. anyways here it is.
