Well here is the pics of our progress last night ! Chip had finished gutting the interior and cleaning off the firewall by the time i got there....then we went to town on removing the rearend and all brackets and hangers associated with it, 3 hours later and multiple grinder and cutting blades here we are !

While we are waiting on everything coming from Scott's we will probably go ahead and cut out the rear tubs and floor section and start working on some of the metal work (firewall) and mock up the doors and front end ! I am getting a little excited ! I have a 12 bolt rearend that should be here today, we will strip the brackets all off of it and get it narrowed 3 1/2 on each side so we can get the 12's in the rear ! Lots of fun stuff coming SOON !

They just take a little practice ;) I've done it so many times I can now remove a trailling arm crossmember in 20 minutes and thats 14 rivets. Seeing how skilled you are in the shop I think you can manage to remove some rivets :uhmk:

ok, ive got a challenge for you....i dont think it can be done, nor have i seen it done...
it would be a super custom touch that would only have been done by you...
if you are gonna do the 73-80 front end...i bet you cant section the front of the hood lip an inch and section the sides to give the whole front end a "run off" like the 81-87 front ends. that would make the boxy front end sleeker and very one-off.

if you could do this you would be the man!

Well i decided to get my wife a new Rear end ! I hope she is ok with that not that the old one is bad just thought i would get a newer one and narrow it a little, i told her i only wanted to take 3 1/2 inches off both sides......i think she might have been offended ! LOL, jk Here is her New 12 bolt, degreased, steam cleaned, de-bracketed and ready for the narrowing !
