Here is mine after I repainted the mirrors which is after the front end was repaired...new smooth bumper. I put the billet grille in a couple years ago. Now, I need some clear corners for the grille and some billet step pads. After I get the tailgate handle flip kit put in and have the tailgate repainted, I'll be done until I get some different wheels.

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Trucks
Welcome gr8ride. That's a sharp looking truck.
Chevloray - the clear corners will really finish off the front end of the truck. Your hard work is defintely paying off. |
Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Trucks
gr8ride, I'm REALLY diggin' your color truck/wheel combo! Thing looks great! Got any more pics of the motor or interior?

What drop is that? 5/7? 6/8? Static or Bagged? Wheel size? Jay |
Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Trucks

static up front with a combo of 2 inch spindle, 4 inch drop arm, 2 inch spring. the rear is bagged. 20 inch rims. i will make the rear the same when i change to a 12 bolt, but for now its bagged. i had it on air all the way around ( one of the first in the 90's). the ride was o.k. but it did not make it a very good hotrod. the
problem now is that the spring pocket is the lowest point. Ohio roads suck. my truck has been around awhile. some might remember it tuck'n 22 inch wheels. |
Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Trucks
That's a beautiful engine color.

New member, alot of nice trucks. Here's mine I bought a couple months ago. Was a stepside, now fleetside & Cowl hood. Planning on a 3/4 static drop, with the 15" SS Wheels. Smothie bumpers, sport mirrors and going all Black.
|
Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Trucks
Nice truck. It will look sharp with the SS wheels, and all black. Keep us updated.

Well this is the 94 that I bought about three months back. My 89 decided to die on my and it turned out to be FAR cheaper to buy this truck and it would have been to fix up that old rust bucket.
So far I have added the euro tailights, clear signal lenses, clear corners, a grant steering wheel, and a stereo. Future plans include a set of torq-thrusts, or cragar 5 spokes, a lowering kit probably 2/4 inches, seat covers, and oneday once I am not using it as my daily driver, a 427 ci engine. This plan will probably take years to acomplish but one day. However on monday mourning, a deer ran out of the dark across the road on a suicide run while I was driving to work, the d@mn thing managed to shatter my grill, turn signals, corner lenses, break the headlight mounts, bend in the corner of the hood an 1/8th of an inch, and mess up the bumper sightly. :( One step forward and two back I guess.:dohh: The stupid thing couldn't even manage to crush the quarter panel, so the rust could be fixed. |
Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Trucks
Looks like a nice truck.
Deers never seem to do damage to the parts that actually need it. |
Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Trucks
At least it looks like a pretty easy fix. sucks you'd have to buy a new grille and lights though.
already get some snow up there? It was in the 20s and snowed a little bit here. More tonight than all day, although it's been trying to flurry here all day. Finally sticking this evening. Good thing I washed my truck yesterday. People gave me funny looks driving by when I was crawled underneath my truck washing more mud off my underside, at 40 degrees out. Shoot, that is still warm. Almost t-shirt weather here. Yay, the joys of living in town now, neighbors and people driving around giving me funny looks. |

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Trucks
It was bagged by one of the POs & they did the worst job I have ever seen
It is just nasty, they hacked everything they did to the truck I dont really think the truck is unsafe, but its not done right They cared so much about it that they dragged the frame till the lower piece of the frame flaps in the wind  |

Here's my 99 I have for towing. 454/4l80e Only plans for her so far is to replace the w/t grill with a GMC setup..

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Trucks
Josh, the GMC grille oughta look good. You'd be using the painted outer grille version with the bright trim around the grille, ala 94-98, right?
|
Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Trucks
95 S Trucker, that's a good looking truck. Has it been repainted below the moulding?
Also, I like the low profile toolbox. Mine has served me well, and I think it's a much smoother look than the average truck box. |

the tool box was for a long bed, so i had to cut a little bit out. i then used the pieces i cut out and flipped them. i just use angle iron and epoxy to install the peices, and finished it up with a bead of silicone http://i178.photobucket.com/albums/w...r/P3190001.jpg http://i178.photobucket.com/albums/w...r/P4090007.jpg since i put my cap on i threw it in my other truck, i dont know if you can see it though http://i178.photobucket.com/albums/w...r/PA310008.jpg |
