you can hit Go advanced on the bottom of the post box and upload pics but they need to be kinda small. I use 640x480. Or you can post them on photo bucket and put the link that starts with img in the body of a regular message and they will show up!

I'm pretty sure you're saying what I'm going to do in a "different way"..... the bed is NOT going to move or be changed at all ..... the rearend housing will be moved forward (5" or so) and then the fenders (wheelwell opening) centered over the wheels/tires.

try editing your post and add [IMG] to the front of each link.

What I have been doing to add pictures is to page/arrow down to the bottom of the page into the " Additional Options" section.... then click on "manage files" which will bring up a window which will allow you to add pictures from your computer's picture files.... works for me.... easy to do.

the rearfenders should modify eazely just cut a rectangle out of each one with 5 inch offset to the front when measured from the centre of the wheel in its stock position and weld the leftside piece in the rightside fender and vice versa if you make the pieces exactly the same there should be hardly any hamering involved

that works too but you have to have the pictures resized. and you are limited to 5 pics per post that way!

I usually take all my pictures for use on the internet/computer (low pizels) so that way works for me.

I did NOT know about the "5 pic" limit..... plus I usually don't post that many at a time.... at least not until I start my "BUILD THREAD".... if that ever happens....HA!!!!

Re: Its Mine the World Famous 67 Dragtruck

damn lol so do u think my stock rear end with a lil beafin up would hold up if i put sum coil overs under it? i thnk it should be alright?

watahyahknow 10-02-2008 02:46 PM

Re: Its Mine the World Famous 67 Dragtruck

go with a ford 9 inch it makes things a lot eazier in the long run

djracer 10-02-2008 03:11 PM

Re: Its Mine the World Famous 67 Dragtruck

I'd say it depends on how fast you want to go. If you want to go sub 13's a 9inch is much better.

drag_72 10-03-2008 10:47 AM

Re: Its Mine the World Famous 67 Dragtruck

ya i agree with both of you. how much u think i could pick a 9 in. up for?

watahyahknow 10-03-2008 12:42 PM

Re: Its Mine the World Famous 67 Dragtruck

DJ do you know ?........over here about 150 euro (the netherlands ) in running order

i would absolutely go for a 9 inch , there not only stronger but its eazier to change the ratio too you can set the centersection up out side the axle and keep it for when you need it , if you have a second center section and the C clip eliminator thingy you can go from a streetfriendly detroit locker with highway gear to a balls out spoolsetup with 4.10's in about half an hour

drag_72 10-03-2008 01:02 PM

Re: Its Mine the World Famous 67 Dragtruck

yah im gonna try to find a 9 in. layin around sum were that needs rebuilt lol i gotta go cheap but i will make it better lol

I think you and I are gonna be freinds. You know, junkie see junkie do.

Here's a pic of the last one I had. Sold it about a year ago. I traded a

62 Nova for it [pics later] 3 years ago and never took it to the track.

cool car. I can't wait to get a motor back in my junk!

Lx3 11-27-2008 09:18 AM

Re: Its Mine the World Famous 67 Dragtruck

as of yesterday my motor is at the machine shop. Won't be long now.

Went to MSD's web page and found a way to check a 6 ALN box and

coil that's been laying on a shelf for 3 years. It's all good. I thought I was

going to have to by pistons but the cam I want puts the compression

right where I want it. NO out of pocket $'s yet.

8's Wow, I wonder how many trucks, old trucks not pro stock, can run 8's ?

Good Luck. Do you run heads up outlaw type stuff or what ? I'm gonna set

my 69 to run high 11's low 12's. I don't care much for trying to run classes,

index or brackets anymore. I just want to stay in the loop and play. Just to

kinda' give you some history, I've run NHRA and IHRA super street on up to

super comp for years. I dropped my licence in 02. I've been involved with

some pro mod and outlaw street [3000 lb/4.50 sec 1/8'th mile] operations.

Anyway good luck . I'll post some stuff soon. Here's a fan I ran accross.

djracer 11-29-2008 10:56 AM

Re: Its Mine the World Famous 67 Dragtruck

I like the Fan! I don't think that you will find too many full size trucks that run that fast and even less with trailing arms under them! I ran a fair amount of 6.0 heads up stuff last year on the bottle but I hope to be able to run close to that off the bottle next year then low 5's on the juice!

Hey,
I asked a question the other day about clutches. I've received 0

reply's or comments. Did I put it in the wrong place, do something wrong,

or just gettin' the freeze out ? I'm just asking you because being new

to the site I may not be aware of something.

Thanks
I know I'll find it somewhere. I found this site looking for info

and have been amazed at what's available. I'm just as amazed that

I'm getting no feedback about clutches. Maybe I'll try www. Jurasic

Park and hook up with Fred Flintstone.

I'm having alot of fun with this deal and am trying to go off the board

with some things just for fun. Try this. 4 speed muncie column shifted.

The reverse could be operated with a small lever in the floor or cable

mounted under the dash. Hell maybe a shift-noid and a button. I'm not

that's what I'm gonna do but it's a thought. Hey I just built a fuel log

out of copper for 10 bucks and it's cool. I'll post a pick.

Her's a pick of my Mom and Pop 1955
