Sure, nothing exciting around the shop. Wifey wants to do lunch at the Shore, so I'm takin' Friday off. Plus I sliced my knuckle open, so it needs a couple days to heal...

Sell any parts?

Glad I finally found all your pictures on the floor install. I'll be ready to start cutting after my vacation is over. Then i'll see if I need any extra pieces from Jon as well. Stay tuned everyone, another floor install will be starting soon. Who needs a rust free Arizona cab anyway, not us!

Good work...

Got some more work done today, worked in the kick panel area. Sure is nice to work in this area without the cowl on it. I cut out a small notch on the kick panel(top rear bolt) so it fits tighter on the floor pan, no gap when bolted up

Re: PO has me PO'd

Well, the short story is.....it was a 3 month hiring process for a large pharmaceutical co. Background check, blood and drug check, 3 interviews and it had tobe approved by a VP or above. I should be able to get a job at the Gov's office now:lol:. I start Monday

But the good news is I get to play with the Jimmy again

Congrats on the job Jim. Sounds awesome. So your gonna be a drug dealer now are ya, lol.....

Re: PO has me PO'd

Thanks Jon, but I'm as far back as I can go, I'm in the basement as it is:lol: Those moldings came from ScottH in Tom's River, 20.00 and 10.00 for the headlite surrounds. What a guy and what a deal. The ones in Upstate were junk, cracked torn and dented...caveat emptor, I'll keep looking for steel, I like the look of Kevs Classic

BTW, I was cursing your product...turn signals wouldn't fit!! On the off chance, I switched them from right to left, and they dropped rite in, call me an idiot.

Did ya get a chance to look at that eyebrow and hood trim yet, who's the vender, I may be going that way

Your stuff is JUNK, and I highly recommend it to everyone. I have not had one piece that doesn't fit well. I still have more pcs. to fit so we'll see... cowl hood, inner fender wells

As you know; I also need a set....so if you know where the "Good ones" come from keep me posted. Those trim pieces haven't come in and, as of right now, I don't have a firm date for them.

K...Jon, I may have found an answer for our ill fitting alum. rads., seems like the 4 core brackets with a 2-3 core rubber works best

MAN these pics just saved me serious frustration and a bunch of time. This way makes sense. I was making no sense.

good work on your blazer

while you were doing the floor and rocker area work were you putting the fender and door on and off to check the alignment of it all or was it just done from measurements?

:lol:Cool, glad I could help ya. That's why I spend so much time taking pics., more work for me, but someone mite need referance. I had demensions, but I hung the door shell lots of times to make sure. Those scratches were hammer marks, ya can see how much I had to move metal. That was one of the more difficult areas to work on.

Just spent 2 months trying to figure out how to hang my alum. rad. with factory brackets, will post up pics shortly

How's yours gonin' haven't seen any updates lately

When you're up I want to show you "Plan B" on the rad mounts. I think I can skip mounting them on top of the support all together and weld all those holes in. I'm going to make a long "L" shaped bracket about 2" x 2", and vee shaped from top to bottom, that will weld to the sides of the radiator and bolt into the two vertical supports on either side of the rad. I'll do them in aluminum and polish them up

Just got it, went down to look at mine, and I see the 'V' shape your talking about. Will it be isolated in rubber?

Yeah, that's the one that came to mind. Now we just have to find the steel rings:lol:
I tried to click on that site, no worky. Do I have to put an actual word in where the 'stars' are?

yes; starts with F rhymes with truck

Re: PO has me PO'd

Finally got the alum. rad. mounted up. Seems like the problem is the corners of the tanks are more squared off, as compared to the radius of the stock tank. Got some 4 core mounts, thanks 6t727t2, and this gave me more space for the rubber to lay down. I still have to shorten the brackets by a 1/2", but atleast it's mounted in securely and I can move on to plumbing

I'll just put some rubber washers there. It's still going to be sitting in the factory 4 core saddles. I'm going out now to get some aluminum stock and the welder will come by later today. I took pictures of the templates and I'll post them after it looks like it's a success...LOL

I think he told me that he has a buddy that does it... He had those and another part done for $100 or so. One thing good about California I guess... wouldn't be that cheap out here... I think I sold them to him for like $50 or something too.... sorry Jon
