Re: Shrunken66Stroker's build thread.
Thanks Dennis. I'll see if I can get the other one done by the end of the week if I have time. I love the "stock tubbed" look.

Re: Shrunken66Stroker's build thread.
Very nice . I see Delmo just added a piece to the inside instead of the center. That would make it half as much welding? yours looks more orginal though. I don't think his has the rounded edge.

Oh I work, I just keep a little different hours than most. I did a pinup shoot yesterday and "worked" for about 12 hours.

Re: Shrunken66Stroker's build thread.
12 hours you must be beat. I do 6 and I have to go home cause my back hurts. Funny it never hurts when I'm working on my truck or goofing off. I count my coffie by the pots.:uhmk:

Re: Shrunken66Stroker's build thread.
Work??? What's that. If you love what you do you will never work a day in your live. :metal:

I got the seats yesterday and they're really nice. They fit like they were made for the truck too. The lines on the side trim are perfect for the area where the seat mounts. There are a few marks that will probably clean right off and I had to pick shattered glass out from between the cracks, but I'm really happy with them.

The donor door's holes are a little lower in the front and don't line up so I'll have to fill em' and drill new ones to line up. The bed trim is 20" longer than the bed. It must have grown over the last few years when it was on the shelf.

Re: Shrunken66Stroker's build thread.
That's weird.:smoke: Seats look good.

Re: Shrunken66Stroker's build thread.
The seats look really good, but I would take off the head rests. Just my 2 cents. :metal:

Re: Shrunken66Stroker's build thread.
Great job on the wheel tubs, I like. Those seats look good, I went with 99-06 buckets, but I like those better....

I took a couple real pics tonight instead of the usual camera phone shots. I put the steering column back in to see how much room I had and get a feel for where the wheel is going to be. I almost have to squeeze my leg under the wheel when I get in. I'll probably get a smaller diameter aftermarket wheel at some point but it will work for now. I think I'm probably going to use the stock clutch and brake pedals. I adjusted both as far back as I think they'll need to go and they're in a comfortable spot. I also got some pics of the cab seams I welded.

Re: Shrunken66Stroker's build thread.
Where did you get the seats what are they out of? I will be in need of some for my 67

I like the seats, they do look like they fit well. Do you have them bolted in? I had to make some plates for my 05 seats to fit. Tony Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Shrunken66Stroker's build thread.
I love the seats. Be glad you didn't go power, mine were a NIGHTMARE. 38 wires to sort through and ended up using a total of 16 per seat.
I was going to get Silverado seats, but I wanted something a little more old man. |
Re: Shrunken66Stroker's build thread.
Do the shoulder and lap belts come connected to the seats??
|
Re: Shrunken66Stroker's build thread.
"38 wires to sort through"
That's exactly what I was trying to avoid Jimmydean. I think it's the law that you can't sell seat belts after the car has been in a wreck. They didn't come with the seats and I'll have to figure something else out. |
