Talented??? Just got lucky and found a good bodyman who could paint too. The rest of it is just sandblasting, painting, sanding, time, buyin parts and installin them.......maybe not in that order. And a few cold ones along the way to try and forget the money ya just spent. Sounds like you are going to make a quick project happen, just wait till the bug gets you and next thing ya know......show truck with a plow!!!

Juanito,

IIRC, he is using 88-91 style low-back bucket seats.

Well......Heath beat me to it. I have a pic in my thread with one of the seats in it. I will also have a Blazer console in it or on it so that I can hide my air bag gauges. Or at least that's the plan for now. No real updates other than my job here is done as of tomorrow, so I will be starting my own lawn and landscaping buisiness. I will be getting my carb today or tomorrow and should be firing the 327 this weekend. When I told the guy I was not going to have any money, it seemed to put a fire under him to get it done!

Thanks Heath, it is a big step from the ac'ed office to the outside. Everyone that I know that has this kind of business makes alot more than me so I figured go for it!!! Might slow my project for a month or two but in the long run it should be worth it. On a side note, Ronnie and I have been kickin around the idea of another project.......Mopar. Maybe a 70-71 Cuda or somethin cool like this.

Some updates from this weekend.
I bent my fuel line and polished it to look chrome, came out nice! And what is that, a carb sittin on top of the motor?!?!?! Finally! Gotta love that ugly, red hei.
Attachment 580030
I finally bolted down the valve covers and cut the oil filler neck down (it will be powder coated), and put some longer studs in the manifold to bolt down the carb and have enough left to mount my air cleaner cover.
Attachment 580031
Got a cool oil filler cap.
Attachment 580032
Took care of the ugly.........
Attachment 580033
Frankenstein! Freakin wires everywhere. We were attempting to get the oil pressure up, so I went ahead and put the plug wires on it. Got some Street Fire Wires that I will custom fit but I bought this cheap set just to crank it......but they will be returned cause they "didn't fit"....

Well here is an update of sorts, since the layoff I have purchased a 2001 Chevy and got my trailer ready for work.......also decided on a name for my business. Today was my startup date. I had a couple of jobs today and spent $53 to make $173 and helped my freind on a job that netted $200 for myself, so I can't say that it was a bad day!!! I'll get back on my truck soon!!

Thanks Devil Dog!! I put some thought into it and it has double meaning also. WWII pilots asked for the "whole nine yards" of munitions for their fighter planes since it was offered in 3,6, and 9 yard belts, and everyone likes golf courses how neatly they are kept so it was a no brainer!!!!

Here is a small but good update. Tried cranking the motor again today after finding a couple of things that were wrong when I tried before, like a bad condensor. We got it to turn but not run. Also rebuilt one of my vent windows today for the driver side.....it is time consuming on the first one, but the second one should not even take half as long. Still gotta put the glass in though.

I think we narrowed it down to a bad condensor, hopefully a new one will help the problem!
