Thanks man, but i got it! Got pretty much everything else too. Glass today, and bumpers. Pulled the rear bumper after this pic, as well as bed bolts. Headed to the paint crew tomorrow. Stoked!

Progress is looking good! Once I placed the order from Billet Badges it took approx. 10 weeks to get them back. I actually ordered another one for my dash that should be here in about 5-6 weeks.

Here in the next few weeks they should send you a rendering of what they will look like. Once they do post up a pic so I can see them.

Hey, ended up finding a really nice set of stock silverado 20 badges for mine, bought em both $55. Cant swing the cost or wait of the billet right now.

Who did your bedliner and how much?

Check out the thread i started on my truck, not really a build but just showing the progress thru the paint process. Link up there lol^^^^

I'll check it out.

I had the paint shop spray the bedliner in after they painted the truck. I think it was $400 extra.

Tintworks in Beaumont does a good job on bedliners. Tell him Tim sent you

I called tintworks today and will be getting a spray in from him in the next 2 weeks. $400.

Hey claytona08, there is a car show at classic chevrolet in bmt may 17th, i signed up and hope to have my truck back and reassembled and the bedliner in it by then. You should bring yours too, show them people what squares are supposed to look like. Ive never even been to a car show much less had anything really special to show. Up until now all my stuff was just lowered newer trucks that everyone and their mom could build

I'll try and make it out there with my truck. Hopefully you'll have yours together by then. Your paint guy seems to be moving along pretty quick.

I'll take a pic and post it this evening. Thanks for the compliment. I still have some work to do but it's getting there.

Hey guys, hadn't posted here in a long time.

My inline 6 finally decided to crap out on me so I took a 350 that I purchased from SeTx67 here on the forum and dropped it in. I hadn't got a chance to finish it up as I got real busy at work and hadn't had the time to button it up. Hoping to have it done here in a few weeks if I could get a day off!! When I purchased the engine I bought the 700R4 transmission also but decided to stick with the manual 4 speed that is original with the truck. I like driving the 4 speed. Not planning nothing special under the hood except what you see for now. Just gonna do some dual exhaust out the back and drive the heck out of it. I have another project that I am ready to start on so I can't dump to much more money into this one.

I'm not sure which I'm diggin more - the V8 swap or Lumberton Funeral Home's sale on a traditional service complete w/20 gauge non-gasketed steel casket.

Short video of the engine running. Still need to add exhaust so this is straight headers with about a foot of pipe and no mufflers. Planning turn downs by the axles.

Re: Project Platinum C10

Hey guys, it's been awhile since I last posted here. The 350 I swapped over a while back decided to tank out so now I've decided to go with a 5.3L LS swap. I was able to find a wrecked 2007 Silverado and was able to get the engine, transmission, harness, computer, etc.. for my swap. I won't be doing the work myself so I'm getting a buddy of mine to do it for me. He does great work though so I'm excited to see the end product.

The plan: Shave the firewall, paint the firewall, paint the frame rails, install the LS engine, install vintage air and fix the wobbly steering column. I'll update some pics as it goes along.

Donor vehicle and parts, I've decided to keep the engine stock except the addition of headers. I have a special touch that I plan to add using that valve cover though so stay tuned.

The front end has been removed and the engine is out. The frame rails are being cleaned and getting ready for paint. Tejas Steelworks engine mounts are here as well.

That's correct Ken, he will be doing all the work on it for me (Firewall, frame, vintage air and LS swap). Here's a couple of pics for an update. Shaving the firewall and welded in the studs for the vintage air so you won't see the bolt heads on the firewall!!
