This could be a real jewel. I don't know as it isn't my truck.

https://portland.craigslist.org/clc/...034564671.html

1972 GMC, has compressor for Jack hammer, outriggers, has small spindle winch for pulling power lines. We have owned this truck over 40 years. we have never licensed it because it has never been off of our farm. It will also lift around 9000 lbs.

Interesting that this has a pusher axle with Dayton style wheels. Don't think I have seen that before on a truck with dish style wheels.

That truck looks to have been stretched and the steer axle from another truck added as a pusher, although I couldn't find a splice, or a double frame in th pictures.

Yeah, I'm actually thinking I can get it transported cheaper than me going and getting it. We'll see.

Thanks. I really wanted a '60 or a '61, but my desired year range was 1960 to 1972, and this looked so clean and unmolested I just had to pull the trigger.
Currently trying to figure out how to get it from Kansas to Florida.

Well.....Yes and no. The first order of business is shortening it and putting a pickup bed on it. I am repainting it the same color, I may upgrade the braking system, and I will be getting rid of the RH-5 rims.

Sorry, I would love to have it and it's my color but I don't need it. That thing looks like a buy to me. I looked at it for ten minutes designing a camper on the back.

Re: The Ulitmate Craigslist find thread

I believe those 8-hole Budds are 18 Inch, in comparison to the standard 4-hole 16 Inch. Now 18 Inch Tires have regained popularity, but not sure how safe those old wheels would be. I would say that they are at least 2-piece.

IF I was closer, I would definitely be in on this but I am sure shipping would kill the deal to get something like this over to California.
Someone please buy this and sell me the extra fenders!

Re: The Ulitmate Craigslist find thread

It says so in the description, shows one of them in the pictures. It seems really steep for a project with no engine or trans. I'd maybe consider $7k if it had both, Cincy isn't all that far from me, a few hours.

Not sure on the build quality from the photos shown, but you can get a 4 door cab with closing doors (no body work done) from RTech starting at $15,000 (per their website. So $7,000 seems pretty reasonable, at least to me since I've been in the market for that a while.

$1k in wheels and tires, drop some cost if you don't want the chassis. I can see the value there, but yea if you pick it up and don't need the extra set of fenders and extensions, give me a shout!

One thing I did notice though if you look, the front fenders don't have the door cutout to fit the extensions. Its Rocker, firewall and wheel well adjustment/finessing. Not a huge chore for someone capable, but it looks like it was a full suburban front instead of a C50 front firewall to start the build.
