Damn, I'm sure I can't afford it, but what do you need for the dually ? I need a "new" truck to put my roll back on. The 454 in my '89 gave out last fall.

I sold it already. I sold it and my Winnebago, and a Saturn that was my mothers all in one day. I didn't even advertise them.

That helped ease the sting of paying for my fence today. Wrought iron isn't cheap and I just fenced in a 1 acre lot. That's a lot of fencing.

I have a friend that just bought an '87 Chevy C70 at an auction. It is a local truck with 104,000 miles on it. 18' bed with 2 speed rear axle. Not sure what engine it has but the guy drove it home and said it runs really good. I think he wants $2500 for it. The only thing it ever hauled was balsa wood sawdust from the factory to the local landfill, so it was never worked very hard.

I will find out what engine it has later today.

Well I finished up my log skidding attachment. Seems to weigh about 75 lbs. All heavy tubing and several lbs of rod. Just got the painting done. I will report on how it works.

I aint too worried about it.......I'll drive it and enjoy it. The thing is an eye catcher and drives great! Currently has just under 20K miles on it. I love the truck, but I like money too.....

That should be sign not to sell. I had a fellow try his best to by the 98 at the Dr's office last week. I pretty much told him he didn't have enough money.
He said he wouldn't take that as an insult and I told him I would feel the same by his lame offer.

Well, the next time he calls ;) you can either 1) tell him you sold it to someone else, or 2) tell him to go pound sand.

That's a really nice truck. If I owned it, I wouldn't mind keeping it. :chevy:

I'm still in the market for a gold tooth Dale. So I can look like a pimp daddy in my beat up 82 Eldorado. Chicks will dig it. :sexy:

Cool !! Thanks !
18' bed should already have a enough frame length for the roll back.

It has a 366ci (6.0L) engine in it The only thing is it sits a lot higher than your present one. The tires look like new on it. I forgot my camera so no pictures at this time.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

366 is an old school big block. I wasn't aware they were even in production in the 80's. By then, the only BB I'm aware of was the 454. Now I gotta go do some research...;)
Yeah, the height may be an issue. I've looked at a couple C50's and wondered if the bed will be at too steep of an angle when extended to the ground.
Found a bunch of ad's and the 366 and even 427's were still being installed in these trucks.
BIG question, though, does his have the spoke wheels or 10 bolt disc ? I'm not interested in dealing with the spoke wheels. Had enough of those years ago with working lose or wobbling if they weren't mounted perfectly straight.

I was skeptical, did it last week. Had a couple of rust holes that I "fixed" with electrical knock outs and jb weld. Flex sealed the whole thing and no leaks!

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

The thing I have Learned about Flex seal Is.

It will fix a Water Leak.:metal::metal:

It does Not Like Oil At All.

Oil will deteriorate it and seep through.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

My swamp cooler is rusting from the inside out, but will hopefully last awhile longer. Last fall I shut off the water & drained the line, but the shutoff valve must have failed. Water in the copper tubing froze and split the tubing. Took all day to get new copper from under the sink, between two walls, through the hot attic, & up to the cooler. Got a new valve and hooked it all up. It's finally working well again -- and next week is supposed to be much cooler, and rainy.

New front tire for the Yamaha . I really hate spoke wheels anymore pain to clean has a tube just not a good overall experience on a regularly used vehicle
