Yeah I am afraid so too, I have the 5L Mustang and for me to get to 600HP (especially at the rear wheels) will only happen NA if I use a huge shot of nitro and that is with today's quality and knowledge in high end parts.

Re: my 64

lol ruffrida, hell you never know what was really going on back then. Get this, Ford only put enough 427's on the street to meet the requirements for getting the engine into Nascar. And Chevy produced the 400 small block just to run extra accessories in large cars. No racing intentions at all!

So, who knows!!

Re: my 64

I wish i could find that website. That is the reason that chevy sold the rights to the 302 to Ford, is because they got caught and couldn't race the engine anymore! would be nice to have one. only made in 67-69

FIY......they did produce 44 1983 vettes. They crushed all but one. They have the only one in the Corvette Museum in Bolling Green KY. Here is a LINKY to some info.

Your right Allan. I saw it in person when we drove back to Bowling Green with 24 Vette's from our club. It was the Museum's 5 year anniversary when we went. We took Route 66 as much as we could.
