Yeah, you can pull yours out. I think the truck will still run ok, you just won't have a speedo. Need to make a trip to the shack to get some parts ;)

Dude! I'm never around for the good fireworks. Glad you two have finally decided to quit talking. The less I have to read from Joesph, the better, lol.

Scott glad you got one down and several to go. Dad's got my number, so if you ever need any help towing or some help to tackle something, let me know. Congrats on getting the cable right.

Scott, have you had a chance to find the VSSB in the green one?
Do you know what gears the white truck had? I'm curious to see how the white trucks VSSB works in the green one. I called Radio Shack, they only have the 8-position DIP switches, we need 2 of 6-position ones. But I'm guessing we can make 2 8-position ones work. They are only about $2.50 each. You could get 4 and we can modify 2 VSSB's, I'm guessing you will need to calibrate one for the crew also.

No i havent looked yet, im about to hook the scanner up and see what the check engine light is doing but i think its the cool air temp sensor just because of what it does only when its cold.

Heck yeah i hope that it fixes it, at least the speedo isnt showing me going slower than i really am

The white truck had 3.42's in it.

Think i should just plug the one from the white one in the green one and see what happens?

Yeah, you could try it out.
I'll run the numbers and see how close it should be.

Nope, just the gear ratio and tire size. Was the speedo accurate with the 275/60/15 tires?

EDIT: I just checked it out. The VSSB from whitey should be good in the crew.

Got the starter on it last night and fixed some more grounds and found a whole gasket kit for small and big chevy both unopened :metal:

Going to get the manifold on it today, should be able to get the engine ready to start but just need the fuel tank brackets moved so i can mount the tank.

Got the manifold on and starter wired up, took the seats out and cleaned it out a bit and put the seat from the 95 in the front and moved the other to the back. Not too much accomplished but its something ;)
