Installed the front inner fenders. I am really glad I decided to paint them red.

Your engine compartment looks awesome Mark, I love all the red. I couldn't wait to see an update on this truck, I love it.

Thanks for all of the compliments guys! here are some clearer pictures (I didn't realize that the pictures from my iPad are so unclear)

This weekend I have been working on putting the bed together. I have decided to use the metal floor for now, and I will eventually use the wood floor down the road.

Thanks Mike. yes, I was very happy I didn't have to purchase a new tank or fuel pump.

Hi! Very Nice Build!!! I was wondering if your LS engine was a return type fuel system or a returnless system? I found an article on one of the Vette forums that showed how they converted the sending unit to a returnless system, here's the pictures, might help if this is what your'e gonna run.

Ben do you have a link? I am about to tackle this same thing in my build.

IDK, but here's the tank ring install:

I'd like to see what kinda regulator dealio they did- most guys just do the Vette filter/regulator on the frame and a short return line (like I'm fixin' to).

Ben, thanks for the compliment:metal: My engine is set up with the return type system. Great article/link you attached. I plan on switching it to the return less setup. I have a buddy that's running an LS2 in his 67 C10 and did the same system and is really happy with it. I like the fact there's no need to run two fuel lines all the way to the engine back to the tank.

Where do you plan on getting the Vette filter/regulator or do you have a GM part number. I haven't gotten that far yet?

Thanks,

Unless you pulled the regulator out of the 4th gen F-body fuel sender, you dont need the Corvette regulator/filter

Great information. I didn't touch the regulator, only changed the lines on the pump since they were dried out. I would like to add another inline filter.

Thanks,

Re: Started my first frame off - 72 SWB LS1, 6-spd manual

It's all good! Glad to share! I'm still on the fence about which engine to run, after I do all the machine work, buy the rotating assembly and have it balanced, and buy the necessary gaskets and valve regrind to my heads, I could buy one of those Pacific Fabrication new pull out 4.8 Vortec's with the new harness and the computer reflashed for $1750.00 !!! cost about $450 to have it freighted to my work. I'll have to think long and hard on this one!!! I got my machinist friends to make me some adapter plates for the small chevy mounts to LS1 engine mounts. guess I'll have to chew on that some more:smoke:
