I think you need the whole grill assembly including the lights.

I believe you need the grille along with headlights (if you're getting a 94-up grille anyways, I'd imagine for a nicer truck you'd go with aftermarkets anyways) As for mounting the grille, if all else fails, duct tape and baling wire? ;)

And as for the air cleaner... it's stock. It's part of GM's newer version of the super duper awesome-atic and rare "Corvette Option" with a hopped up 327 out of a Vette with awesome wicked cams heads and special pistons with the flags imprinted on the piston tops for super compression and performace, and special color options on the grilles, air cleaner lids, seats, bumpers, and racing stripes.

Unfortunately, her truck only has a standard black grille (didn't come with the super cool 100 extra horsepower "Rompin' Racin' Red" grille color option) and Super-COOOLD Air "Purrin' Pretty Pink" air cleaner lid. No Super Groovy Comfort "Suave Suade Blue" seat, Flyin-By-Ya-Streak "Babes Burnin Blue" Racing stripes, or "Whoah-my-eyes White" super light racing bumpers, unfortunately.

Still, I'd totally pay $50,000 for that truck... after it'd been rolled 8 times doing Mach Chicken, end-over-ended 30 times, and did a quadruple bypass barrel roll... sixteen times while travelling at near warp speed on a super sweet stunt ramp, cuz it's so sweeeet and rare! :smoke:

No really though, it's a pretty clean truck.

Man, I'd be careful about what you put in that pocket by the back seat, it might just fall through the cab corner & get run over. :D just kidding. I did hear of a guy in Alaska, that was driving his old rusty subaru, hit a bump, fell through the floorboards and died by being run over by his own car. Looks like a good work truck.

The floors are solid on this truck but Illinois weather is not kind to trucks :waah:. Ya when I looked at the truck I couldn't believe how nice the interior was.

I know that first hand. My old 91 S-10 Blazer was from Chicago area. Rusted out behind and in front of the rear wheel wells, and starting to rust elsewhere. Minnesota ain't any better by any means. That's why I'm glad North Dakota uses sand, instead of rust-a-matic insta-cancer salt. Sorry, I know how to drive in snow and ice, and I'd prefer not watching my truck rot away before my eyes.

This truck has nickel and dimed me than any other vehicle I have ever owned, but I have driven it more than any other vehicle so I guess that's the way it goes. :smoke:

benoit454 02-25-2009 11:48 AM

Re: Post Your Ride 88-98 Trucks

I haven't touched the bars or put on a lift, haven't seen one on it either. I know it's got 275/or 265 75/16's on it.

Yea the backdrop is my house and the instant carport and car cover over my monte carlo ss.

I'd love to see pics...I've been searching for a while for nice, subtle LED tails, as close to an OEM look as possible. I'm guessing you probably sell them, so I can PM you for pricing if I like 'em. Thanks.

BTW, sharp truck, and welcome to the board.

This is my '92 Sierra. I have had it for about a year now and changed alot of stuff, and plan for more, as money allows ofcourse. It's been a pretty good truck so far considering i got it real cheap. The first pic is a shot from shortly after i bought it. The second was from fall. The third is how it sits right now. Those are the wheels i'm going to run in the summer. I just threw em on to snap a few pics. What do ya think?

66truckin 03-05-2009 06:18 PM

Re: Post Your Ride 88-98 Trucks

I like how it sits in the second pic, I'm not really digging the wheels in the third pic but if you like them thats all that matters.
