Sounds like progress is positive on your end. Thanks, the "good" news is the docs say he will die "with" the cancer, not "from" it, it a slow moving lymphatic type. In his condition and age pheunomia, the gentleman's friend, will be his likely demise. Right now we are keeping hims safe, warm and pain free in an assisted living center.

Good to hear from you Charley.

I realized after looking at that pic, the spindle was on the wrong side. I have the crossmember tacked in. I am pretty sure it is not where it needs to be. I will have to check the measurements again. I did find out my jack leaks down real bad. So, I figured tacking it will keep it in place.

I found out that the dr told my dad back when this started that he had 3 months. Well, I found out that this week and he has already done that. I have had to explain to him that he does not have an expiration on the bottom of his foot like a package of meat.

Nice progress Billy!

I may be on my own here, but I don't put a lot of stock in what doctors have to say.

I was sure hoping the nice weather will hold out. But it seems to be making that cooler turn now. I picked up some spindle nuts and cotter pins while I was out.

Everything but the spindles nuts. Heck for everything you gave me I had to eventually buy something lol.

They were cheap though. 10 bucks or so for washer, nuts, cotter pins etc.

If I wasnt home sick today trying to get cold under control I would be out there messing with it right now lol.

Re: AD Truck Project

No real update, just more thinking. I cut the tacks on the crossmember. I had it lined up front to back but it was off side to side. I saw a 53 5 window last weekend in Lawton on a c10 frame. It just did not look right. The rearend was way too wide. It made it look like a 4wd. So, now I am wondering if my 4x4 s10 rearend has enough material to be drilled to 5 on 5. If not, then I will get 5 on 4/3 rotors and go back that route.

One future plan is closing in the 20x20 awning I have in the backyard. It sets on a concrete pad. It would make a much larger area to work in. I could get a the truck back there as long as I was not in and out of there alot with vehicles. I have to straddle the neighbors yard to get in there.

Re: AD Truck Project

Yeah. It would free up my garage to say.. lock up my lawn mower. So, I do not have another one stolen.

Re: AD Truck Project

Things worked out where I could come home this afternoon and mess in the garage a bit, since I have to work later tonight. I took advantage of decent weather and got the crossmember tacked back in and clamped the drivers side spring hat on. I need to double check one of my diagrams, which I lost, and make sure everything is in the right place. Then I can put my spindle and the rotor I have right now, and see how a wheel looks in the fender. I did not put up anymore pics, because it does not look really any different than the last few pics.

That is how I am looking at it. You said that motor is a tbi motor? Does it have a place for the mechanical fuel pump?
