245/45R18. No spacers. BUT - this is a very unusual setup.

Stock wheels, black round tires. I have always run custom wheels. Some how I find this refreshing.

This thread is so old I actually have new wheels. I bought the US Mag Boulevard in 20"x8". I like them alot!!

Re: 60-66 Tire/Wheel Pics
The wheels are aluminum from American Racing, I had the rear ones custom built for my 65 Chevelle, however I got too greedy even minitubbed they were just too close for comfort, so to match, I had the front ones done, with the backspace I wanted they became custom also….
The black rocker bottoms I figured the same as you when I purchased the truck, however when I got it on a lift, I found no rust, the stainless piece is just a trim piece The previous owner had a metal shop, all the stainless stuff he made is 14ga, he did a great job and I like the look so I am keeping all of his work intact. |

Re: 60-66 Tire/Wheel Pics
I converted everything to 5 43/4, I had a full set of 15x8 vette ralleys I was gonna use till I decided to go this route. The truck will never be a heavy hauler, so the smaller pattern will be fine, I didnt buy anyones kit, just got the correct rotors and bearing sets and did it much cheaper, even used the stock spindle, the front suspension is from an 86, coilovers all 4 corners. Built all the rear mounts and used a POL lower Arm, built my own upper mount…

"Are those 6 lug or did you convert it to 5?"
They are six lug. I did install longer wheel studs too. |

What tire sizes are you running and are you on the stock inner fenders up front? I assume with a 17x10 that the rear tubs are widened? How is the truck lowered and how much? |

I just put new wheels and tires on my '64. They are Rev 107 18x9s with 255/60/18s on front and 285/60/18s on back. I love them!

Re: 60-66 Tire/Wheel Pics
MT65 or Verdell..... Any chance that either one of you has any pics showing the back-side of those wheels?
A.R. wheel distributors won't provide dimensions or images to make an educated decision as far as big brake packages go. I'd like to see the back side of one of those wheels to see what there is to deal with. |

The AR people that answered the phone are NOT fun to deal with…before he retired I had a direct number to a guy at the plant where they were made, worked great…..those that you’re having to deal with suck… |

That webbing is what interferes w/big brake calipers which is why spacers are required for clearance. |

I actually wanted to use the VN327's on my g-body Malibu that will be getting a budget GM based late model 2-piston caliper set-up (C6 base caliper w/Z51 13.4" rotor. No go w/o spacing them @ least 1/2". I have zero interest cobbling things together just to clear. It's a similar issue using the Torq Thrusts. |

I tried other brands that are budget friendly but you dont get to choose offset & I can't use generic 'one size fits all' options that they offer. The alternative brand was close & could possibly work for the front but the matching rears would require narrowing the rear end to get them able to clear the sheet metal w/a disc brake set-up. I bought a pair of the Rocket Hyper wheels to see if I like them. They clear everything brake wise & offer 1/2" increment options on back-space. The unfortunate thing is they're not old school visually which was what I wanted. |

Stock front with 1.5" spacer, 215/75 tires.
Old aftermarket chrome reverse 8" rear wheels with less backspacing/deeper outer lip than Blazer hubcap wheels, like 3 1/4" or 3 3/8" with 235/75 tires. https://i.imgur.com/1Gq0QyJh.jpg https://i.imgur.com/MVy43vhh.jpg |
