I would like to go a little wider in an 18. Everyone says the wheels match the truck (hot rod look). Its got a 293/313 duration 521 lift roller cam with 3 in exhuast and 40 series flowmasters, so although I love the smoothies, they are not my best option.

If you not completely stock on the Telestars, CenterLine makes other styles in bigger styles. Some even with the stock 6x5.5 lug pattern.

Never knew telstars came in 17's. I really like the look. Had a set of 15" bigs and littles on the old Z28.

Hey guys wonder if you can help a guy out. Just dropped my panel using CPP kit. 2.5 spindles 2" springs and 4" in the rear. I need help with rim size to clear the control arms. What are you guys using for rim sizes and back spacing? Any body order from Mobwheels? I'm looking to stay with steelies. Thanks in advance

I want to go with a 5/7 drop in the very near future IF I don't decide to go with airbags. More than likely Ill go with CPP stuff. You guys with a 5/7 drop, do I have to go to disc brake all the way around or just on the front with drop spindles? Just trying to get a better idea of what this drop is gonna involve...

I've got 5/7 on mine. 3" springs and 2" disc drop spindles up front and 5" springs with 2" blocks in the rears. No need to do disc in the rear unless that's what you want. A c-notch in the rear is helpful though.

Nice truck hooch! I need to find a set of caps like that for mine.

My folks are driving out your way from NC today to visit my sister and her husband for the week in Edmond.

First time poster on this forum, I like what I have seen so far. Picked this '64 up today in New York, it is heading to North Georgia. I will most likely be the main wrench on this for my Sister who just had to have it. She has a small antique business that she takes care of in her "spare" time. Truck is bare metal with a matte clear coat, 350/350 combo, PS, PB, lowered, 20" wheels which she hates.......trying to get her to go Halibrand if she does any thing. Plans are to add AC and repair minor things that needs done to it.

I had an Orange/White combo when my son was about 3 years old, he is now 28 and will be helping with the maintenance.
Spend most of my time on the 300ZXClub forums with my little Ugly Car. I do understand the "Search" functions well so I will not ask a question if I can't find it. A little V6 with 474HP/490 torque that is a blast.

Congrats to your sister on a cool truck. I'm not a big fan of those wheels either, but I think a different set of old school looking steelies would work nicely. Hope you get to take it for a spin every now and then. ;)

And I dig your car as well. I'm sure it's a blast to drive.

Don't worry I will, I am outside of Philly the rest of the week. No way it will sit on the trailer the rest of the week. Hey, at least she has left it to me in her will. The Z is a blast to drive to say the least.

Thanks! They are a ton of work to make fit but worth it in the end. Cheap mods are always the best! ;)

I dig those early Caddy caps too -

I have a set of early buick caps with bullets in the centers - Too deep a dish for the offset on my original wheels (which won't clear my disks without spacers anyway) and CAN'T make them work on the later rims I have on now!

Wall art for now.

Truck looks good!

Yeah, I bet! Those things are so damn deep, I was under the impression they wouldn't work on anything but a stock Cad wheel or something with a deep offset. I'd love to see how you made em work if you don't mind sharing :ito:

I love cheap mods too. I always try to do what I can with what I have. Which is why I ran '55 Buick wheel covers on my '75 GMC as long as I did!
