Ok that made me laugh.
I just pictured your poor truck falling apart as you drove it, scattered parts and bolts bouncing down the road behind you.....

Too funny.

man the truck is looking good! how tall of a intake do you have and how tall is your air breather?? i think you should keep them rims on it for a while before you have to give them to the old man, lol!! i like how they look on your truck!! i've been wondering why you haven't been on lately, but i know how it is, you got to do what you got to do family first, truck later!!

My intake is a professional product hurricane about the same height as a Vic jr. Measures 6.06" from intake floor to bottom of carb pad and the air cleaner is a 5". I wish I wouldnt had sold them
But it is what it is....

Thanks man I can't wait to have some free time to go drive it and get a video...

I'm going to try to hang the hood this weekend and get the park lights and tag lights wired then it's time to have some fun

Re: MY build thread...

Well hood is on and wired and just about everything tightened down and ready for a longer road trip but I need shocks for the rear badly. I just don't know what to get. Then doing a side job this past weekend cost me more money than I made when a cylinder on my skid steer sprung a leak and apparently the shaft is also bent!!! Great.... Anyways, any ideas on shocks and also an idea for a front swaybar! I don't have the factory mount locations for a stock bar either.

Funny you should say that because I got shocks for it today and realized I was missing a shock bolt....

Re: MY build thread...

Took KarmA for a ride with the wife today. Went into town, did some stop and go driving in 75 degree weather and barley got to 170 degrees. Went to Midas to get a quote on exhaust and now think I'm gonna build it myself!!! Wow$5-800!!! So we went out to eat and drove around town some then home.... Without an issue, well major anyway! I have a tranission leak somewhere, fuel sending unit doesn't work, trans kinda surges when slowing down in 4th,has a vibration in the frontend,72 steering box leaks and it pulls to the right when hitting the brakes... But it runs down the highway nicely and keeps up with traffic and gets lots o looks.. So I have more work to do! Thanks everyone for checking out my posts and answering my questions...

2 hours later and got done looking through your build. Looks great and glad you got it down the road with no major issues on it's first real voyage!

Re: MY build thread...

Thanks man! Well the issues or bugs have started showing themselves after my last carshow/cruise! My battery terminal lost connection and died in the street with a bunch of cars behind me! Thanks to a couple guys representing borla helped out and got me going again. Then my power steering started leaking, now I need new valve cover gaskets because the cork ones I had wont stay under the valve cover so it coated my firewall with oil!!! Build bugs are great....

Re: MY build thread...

Well I've been chasing a oil leak on my valve covers. I tried the rubber gaskets and still leaking so I got some thick cork gaskets an glued them to the valve covers. Tomarrow I'm getting some studs so I don't have to fight with erring the bolts in... Going to seal the bolts also... I hate oil leaks on a fresh clean motor! Well it's not clean anymore. I'll try to update some pics tomarrow if I can pry the laptop from my wife

Me, myself and I are the exterminators. ;). I might have to recruit some help if I can't get it running better. Since its running and driving I feel like I'm done and don't have to work on it. I wish you well on yours.

Whoohoo oil leaks fixed I do belive!!! Took her for a drive and stalled it up to 2500 swapped feet and hit the rev limiter to get some oil flinging and no leaks so hopefully all good. I might go to a show this weekend but still unsure...Got my parts doors tore apart and wing windows in,need window wipers to install side glass...

Well went to another show about 35 mile trip and still have an oil leak so just ordered a new Holley street dominator intake and going to try that. I'm also going to remove my valve covers and install the baffles and re-seal them again! I have one more show to go to in Ottawa this year then motor and trams coming out to have gaskets put in them and painted... This is going to be a long few weeks...

Wow! Very cool truck!
I was just sitting here wondering about your valve cover leaks, and thinking that maybe you could be tightening them down too much, and pinching the gaskets in half. The bolts only need to be a little more than snug...I know this from my own experiences, that when this happens they leak like a mutha!...Just a thought.

Re: MY build thread...

Oh yea got all the topend leaks fixed now just a small oil pan gasket leak to worry about. Thanks for checking out my build... More to come this winter! New engine I believe!!!

Well motor is out sitting on the stand and stared tearing it down. Looks like I have found a small figment issues with the patriot heads. Need to run a bigger bead of sealant across the front and back of block. Still undecided if I'm going to stay with the small block or go with the 454.
Posted via Mobile Device don't know why te pic is that way but this is it painted again just incase it goes back in.

Well awaiting parts so figure I would post a few pics of a truck I painted awhile back. Makes me want to paint mine...cleared,cut and buffed! Never done a two tone with a painted stripe! Put wheel arches in the bed and modified the fronts to take the eyebrow look out. Custom black with some red pearl and torch red with silver stripe. Painted in a two car garage...
