Looks like i got the cart before the horse. Here are a few pictures of the little ls engine installed with my helper driving. We are going Saturday to look at a few more 5.3/4l60e combos before deciding which one to go with.

Yeah I guess so.

The 406/700r4 are still hanging around the garage. Not sure what i'm gonna do with them yet.

It's a lot easier to store when it is kinda put together.

Being back home is a slower pace of life but that fine with me.

After deciding on a location for the accelerator pedal it looks like I have a few more holes to fill on the firewall. I knew I should have let Alan weld those up.

Finally pushed the old guy out of the garage for a little sunshine the other day. For a little color I test fitted the heater delete plate.

A few pictures of the DBW pedal bracket. the overall design was borrowed from TR65 build. I did add the threaded pipe union so the bracket could be adjusted correctly.

And a few pictures of the pedal and bracket mounted to the brake pedal assembly. Still need to find the correct angle for the linkage and weld it in place.

Thanks Phillip. Now that Evan's football season is over maybe I will have a little more time for the truck.

Over the weekend I installed the new grille mounting panel. Almost looks like a complete truck again. Today I picked up a few pieces after being powder coated. I will try to post some pictures tomorrow.

Thanks guys. I sold my 406ci last week to a friend of mine to concentrate on the 5.3 swap. One of the conditions of the sale was that I get to hear it run again. I will post up a video of it. Here is a picture of the cam card. A little big for an every day driver but it sure was fun to drive. Not to mention it did turn a few heads.

Saturday me and Evan got to go listen to my old engine fire up. Pretty cool hearing it run after sitting for over ten years. Check out my instagram link. Still having trouble uploading videos the correct way.

Thanks Phillip. It's the little 406 I sold a couple months ago to a friend. After hearing it run I wished I would have kept it.

Oh, I gotcha now! Does he have a project that it's going into?

Re: Greg65 build thread

He is half owner of Jim and Marty's Hot Rod Fabrication Shop. I'm not sure if it is going into one of his personal projects or in a customer's project. I will try to post pictures after it gets installed.
