Thanks ! It's off white , Scott . Crossed over the original Ditzler color to Dupont. Pic with paint code is at bottom of post .

:lol::lol: Yep !

Still not sure which direction I'll take to get the truck even lower , but regardless, these PB hinges along with the Hills inner fenders are a necessary part of the equation . I'll get those two done first while I figure out the rest .

Chris, I just re-read your whole build thread. I'm one of the lucky ones that gets to see it fairly often, but I still forget exactly how much detail you have gone through in order to get it where it is now. It is definitely deserving of the TOTM, and you know I will vote for it in the TOTY poll which should be coming up soon.

Does this wiring modification allow you have only the marker lights on if desired and do they still function as turn signals with headlights on/off?:chevy:

Yes , the only thing that changes is that the grill park lamps will remain on with the headlights .

After some mad thrashing to get unfinished items done , we made it to the Bama Coast Cruise this past weekend in Orange Beach , AL . Had a blast and met a lot of great people . Did some cruising and even had a little pinstriping done by Von Hot Rod out of Burbank, CA . Wound of leaving there with Top 5 award . Great trip and one that I'll surely be back for next year .

Rob , the month of May will be fairly busy for us . So if anything , I'll just stay local . June is PowerTour but we'll probably be running the rusty ragtop for that .

How are the Sportsman S/R tires? Rainy/wet weather? expected miles before replacement? I'm going to run the 29x15x15s for now on a 12" rim and when I do get my 20" "street" tire/wheel combo later on I will be running the 29x15x20. I figured they will last longer than a drag radial on the street.

Yes I'd presume they would outlast a drag radial . Seems to be a standard compound. Not hard or overly soft . They do ride very well . As far as wet/rainy performance goes , I can only say that I've only driven them on damp roads . So far I've been able to avoid the wet stuff .

Re: Bowtie468's Extreme '68 BuildPage

Hey Bowtie468, have you came up with a 31" alternative yet since they don't produce the 31x16x20 anymore? I have a 20x12 Vintecs with a 29" drag radial and I need a taller tire too. Would like to go to a 31" tire . Let me know if you come up with an alternative. I would be willing to go in to get a set made if we could get 100.

How do the S/R's hook with that much HP? I have about 700hp myself.\

By the way. Love the stance of your truck.

I haven't come up with anything yet, but that reminds me . I'll put a call into M/T after lunch and see what they say now. Just to make sure what I was originally told still holds true. Maybe they've changed their policy . Maybe not , but it's worth a shot .
I really haven't tested the traction as I'm trying not to burn them up prematurely . Nothing more than a quick stab of the throttle which sends them up in smoke. :)
Maybe getting them hot would be better . I'm just scared to try . When these are gone , their gone ! But man I wanna find out !:lol:
