Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs
Thanks for the comments guys, I'll try to get some pics today and put them up for you. She certainly does get a lot of looks here, parking is no issue though, park wherever I want, nobody argues lol.

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs
New here. I'm from Oklahoma. I've had my truck for over a decade. I will never part with her. Currently she is running a 511hp/567ftlb 496 BBC. Engine wasn't exactly built for her but I couldn't go long without driving it so I pulled the motor from the race car and stuck it in my truck... LOL Crazy, sure, but ahwell... Saving coin for a diesel swap or an LSx swap, undecided at the moment...
Anywho, Here she is. "Sally" http://i804.photobucket.com/albums/y...f/IMAG0048.jpg |
My Latest Addition to *the Fleet*
Hi Gang
Long time lurker and member here from Daytona Beach. Been wantin a *round eye* crew cab dually for a long time, and finally found one!! Its a 1979 GMC Sierra Classic 35 3+3 Camper Special 10K GVW. It has a fresh .060 over 454, fresh Turbo 400 trans, fresh hub to bub rear end. Runs and drives like a brand new 1979!! I know, I bought a new Chevy crew cab dually in '79 to pull my race cars with! It has a few rust bubbles here and there, but we need one to pull our 24 foot enclosed trailer when we move from FL to east TN next spring :) I need a hook up on headlight bezels and a grille, the bezels and grille are pitted and broken. Gonna wait till after the big move to start trickin it out. Just been cleanin it up some and makin a list of all the *TLC* it needs. What do ya think, I gave between parts tradin and cash money) right at $1500.00 for it. Larry http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...allyWashed.jpg |

Love that '79 as well! And as a former '96 Impala SS owner I'm really digging the toy list as well! Square bodies and B bodies to together like milk and cookies!

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs
Apologies on taking so long to get back to you guys.
Ignore the wiring everywhere in the pic, I'm in the process of tidying it all up and I seem to be missing the dash trim for around the vent areas I noticed....... Most of the wiring is for the the Gas (Propane) management and the trailer electric brake controller. The black thing in the centre console area is actually a home speaker cover which has a 6 x 9 speaker screwed to the back of it, whatever works I guess. Need a new drivers side (passenger side for you guys) seatbelt assembly as mine won't retract, got any suggestions where I could find one? http://imageshack.us/a/img543/1342/gmcrhd.jpg |

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs
It's pretty much just a standard blue interior otherwise, I'll try to get some pics today. Finally found the fuse box after a lot of hunting around too. Carpets completely shagged, not entirely the easiest vehicle to get carpet for over here, but I have a mate whos a trimmer by trade so I'll get him to look at it, he should be able to sort something out. Some minor bits of trim missing, but at the end of the day this is a work truck, not a show vehicle so I'm not too fussed. One thing I will freely admit though, is the interior is VERY comfortable, our roads over here are shocking to say the least and most of our local utes (pickups) ride very stiff and with bare bones type interiors in them.
