Looks great so far. I would be going nuts if i did all the mods you are doing. I am a "blow and go" kind of guy with no patience.
Thanks for the bumper mod, i will do something similar for mine without welding brackets to the bumper. The bumper bolts let mine look semi original.
Thanks for sharing your ideas.

Thanks for the encouragement.
When you're building on a budget you learn to have patience. It also gives me something to do to the truck while I wait for funds to regenerate.

It's been a while since I've checked my own build thread.
I've been busy helping my brother put a 4-link and new brakes on his truck.

If you're talking about my grill I had to have the chrome removed so I could make it a one piece. I will most likely paint it a contrasting color to what is going on the rest of the truck.

Wow man, I just spent the better part of the day (on and off) reading your whole thread. I love the bed, it had to take lots of guts to even attempt this and it came out killer!!!! The sectioning of the hood took huge balls too!!!!! I dig the firewall and straight dash as well. Awesome creativity and imagination! I feel like I need to step up my game now ;~)

hey Kim, you put the rest of us to shame....where do you get the time for all this? And nice work. I like the reverse opening hood a lot.

Thanks Coupeguy.
My problem is I have more time than money so I look for things to do to stay busy and say I did something to the truck.
Hopefully my finances will allow me to do more to the truck this year as I'm running out of things to change on it.

Looking great Kim!

Man I hear ya about the money thing, these are what I have to build for other people so I can have truck money, but these take me about 4 months to build so thats what I do with time in between the money problem.

Beautiful models. If I built those, I dont know if I would build a truck.

Is that a kitchen/workshop combo. I think that I am going to do that. When my wife goes out, I will move all my shop stuff into the kitchen. Maybe she will get the hint to stay out of my garage.

I thought about doing the bottoms. The rear wouldn't be that bad. On the front with the fender it gets kinda tricky. It ends up having a small triangle that may not look that nice.

i just went thru your build thread, great minds think alike. i think i need bigger rubber on mine though. :o
your fabrication skills are amazing, i looked at shaving drip rails and realized how much work to shave them.

Re: My 57 Pro Street

That front bumper iz lookin slick!

I have been thinking on not putting a bumper on, but maybe i should take this ans see if an adjustment is needed with my front end.

Keep up the advanced work!
