not auto related. It aligns something and allows you to attach and reattach it in the same exact place

nope. Its specialized tool for a very specialized profession. Its used in the very beginning of making a product or when you have to change direction of the process

The product this tool helps make is almost always thought of as coming out of the ground in the finished condition you see at the store but in reality it looks nothing like the finished product when in the ground. A lot of times its heat treated to look the way it does when finished.

The picture may be a little misleading because part of the product is actually in the tool

tool to set the first grind of gem stones, maybe for diamonds?

Re: Lets Play Whatz It? !!

Yes, Its called a Dop jig. Its used to secure a rough gem on a Dop via thick brown shellac then placed in a gem faceter hand piece. When you finish cutting the bottom its allows you to precisely align it and flip it over so you can cut the top. The 2 rods with threads on them are dops and the top one has a piece of preformed Amethyst thats ready to flip

I am impressed that you got that close first guess. Technically your answer is wrong but I am going to give it to you anyway because there are so many different attachments for the business end of a sewing machine that we could go back and forth for a while.

It is actually the CNC embroidery foot for making different designs and text.
And no it's not my wife's machine:lol:

Is it some sort of adjustable limiter? The main bolt clamps onto a rail then the pin is adjustable to limit the travel of something. I just don't know what that something is.

not used on any type of weapon......

The pin extends outwardly in a direction between two points of reference which are then adjusted to be as close to parallel as possible
