Ok, after a not insignificant period of violent profanity, related to computers, we're gonna try to update this thing. We'll pick up where we were-see if the pic thing goes.
Holy Crap, it worked! The gang at the Starbird/Devlin show in Jan. of 2015. Attachment 1508449 Decided to have a bit more striping done on the rad cover. Attachment 1508456 Loaded up to head down. Attachment 1508460 After the show, great weather for Jan., had the whole crew in the bed of the truck riding through downtown Wichita. Attachment 1508461 So, in late Feb, I got the word that my job situation was going to be changing, so I found another one. Back to industrial machine design/fab/maintenance. Best thing I ever did.The jokes about corporate America ain't jokes! Here's the first big project, all the stuff in the foreground is mine. Attachment 1508465 |

Re: Old Yeller's new heart-5.3/4l60 swap!
Thanks guys! This pic bidness got me sideways! Hope I can contribute a little again.
I've had the "new" gig for almost a year, thats how behind I am. That's a Roll Processing Line I built for our Reno facility. It takes a "log" of finished goods out of the back of the machine, breaks it up, stands the pieces up, pounds the ends flat, and delivers them to the packing station. We have locations in KC, Reno and Richmond, Va. We make big rolls of paper into reciept rolls for customers like Kmart, Subway, Jcrew, PostXchange, etc. I fix all the mechanical stuff the guys on the floor can't, help install new machinery, and make all of our material handling stuff custom. Mostly I hang out in the machine/fab shop and make stuff with the Offspring blasting in my headphones. I'll try to get more on tonight, I found a bunch more in the process of doing this update. Mike, are you messing with Power Tour? |

Re: Old Yeller's new heart-5.3/4l60 swap!
Truck looks amazing, great job on the engine swap. Did I see you had 99-04 40/20/40 seats in it? Do you have a couple pics of the interior?

Did you have to modify any of the mounts? |
Re: Old Yeller's new heart-5.3/4l60 swap!
Dangit, I gotta pay attention! Nope, bolted right in, had to drill a couple holes. They're a little tall, but great.

Re: Old Yeller's new heart-5.3/4l60 swap!
Maybe I missed it going through the thread, but do you have any pics of how the A/C compressor fittings turned out?

Re: Old Yeller's new heart-5.3/4l60 swap!
Bad news today. I'm sure Chip will be on here with details, but Yeller got wrecked by a drunk driver. His dad seems to be OK, but could use some prayers and well wishes from everybody. :(

Re: Old Yeller's new heart-5.3/4l60 swap!
Pretty scary! Glad that Vern and Tilly (his dog) apparently escaped without major injuries. No doubt they'll be sore for awhile, though. We'll be pulling for them to recover quickly.
What a shame to lose Yeller, especially to a serial drunk driver. :censored: |

I hated to see this on Fbook last night Chip. It really bums me out when something totally unnecessary happens like this.
