Did you have to cut the uppermost fender brace?
Or were they already cut?

Re: 72 Suburban Build

that was already cut i made these to fit without cutting that, however if you needed to cut that for clearance it would be a very easy modification to make the tubs come on over to meet the fender

Re: 72 Suburban Build

You don't have to cut it at all (Mike can verify this). I cut them before I knew about him making them. I think that he actually designed that part so you WOULDNT have to cut.

Snapped a quick one with both in. I need to figure out why I'm touching on the outside of the drivers side tire. It was a problem trying to get that side aligned too. I need to figure out if the frame is tweaked or something. There is plenty of room above the tires though.

No problem. Let me know anything you need.

The inner fenders look great.

Is it touching where there is a step in the top of the sloshtub?
What's the backspacing on your wheels?

Whipped up a quick catch can. All fluids changed and all bolts checked. I leave on Sunday for the 400 mile bolt shaker run to Norfolk, VA. She's running pretty well so far.

Made it out of 2", black, PVC pipe. There is a guy who posted a quick how to on here a few months back and i liked the look AND the "wallet friendliness"....usually its hard to get both of those together as I'm sure you guys will agree.

Thats a pvc catch can???????

Re: 72 Suburban Build

PVC starts to soften at 120*, not sure about ABS. I am sure the 400 mile run will prove its road worthyness.

Re: 72 Suburban Build

Well, I went to leave last Sunday to drive up to Norfolk, walked into the garage at my friend's house where I've been staying since I rennted my house out (obviously a good friend, they gave up their garage for the suburban) and there was a sea of red on the floor. I've put about 500 miles on it with ZERO leaks and all of the sudden there's a pool of tranny fluid underneath on the day I need to leave. I didn't have any time whatsoever to work on it so i left it in the garage and drove my Touareg up to Norfolk. I drove back down here yesterday to work on it. It was one of the tranny cooler lines. Not sure why it started leaking. I pulled it off, cut it, and re-flared it and it seems to be doing fine now. Going to take it up the highway in a minute to make sure.

I hope you got your leak under control now.

Not sure if I missed it or what, but what engine do you have in your 'Burb?
