Nice work on the wheel tubs, welding up the seam and rounding the corners really finished it off nice.

ok im back with some updates... my camara broke awhile back and i just now got another camara...so here is what im working on now....
we got some bear claw style latches for the door, and i smoothed the door and door pillar....installed the latches and the striker bolt... it looks and functions 100 times better then stock form.....also got some power windows.... http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c8...k/P9220011.jpg http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c8...k/P9220012.jpg http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c8...k/P9220013.jpg http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c8...k/P9220014.jpg |

Re: project INCREDIBLE HULK 6.2L with 6L80E
Looks good...any pictures of the inside of the door so I can see what you did with that round hump that runs around the outside of the door? Thanks. Are those powered bear claws? And have you tested them with glass in the door (additional weight)? Are you running an additional manual popper anywhere (I was told I needed to)?

Re: project INCREDIBLE HULK 6.2L with 6L80E

Re: project INCREDIBLE HULK 6.2L with 6L80E
Thanks for the info...looking forward to the pictures. I am going to use the newer press in style weatherstrip so I'm not sure if that will be looser or tighter than normal weatherstrip so I have a set of poppers just in case they don't open enough.
If you end up needing a set of poppers I got two accidentally so let me know and I'll sell them to you for what I paid. THey're nice aluminum adjustable ones (non-power) |
Re: project INCREDIBLE HULK 6.2L with 6L80E
CRAZY SKILLS! I finally got through the whole thread. Its just amazing how far you have came from start to now. I know you have a ton of hours on this ride......any clue how much $$$ are tied up in it? That power plant alone must have cost some bucks! Keep it up fellow Okie.

Re: project INCREDIBLE HULK 6.2L with 6L80E
time for a little update, the rear suspension had to be removed, because we're going with a diffrent set-up, one that matches the front...so the new ECE trailing arms, and xmember were removed and sold..also here are the pics of the inside door latch as requested (hope this helps).....

Re: project INCREDIBLE HULK 6.2L with 6L80E

Re: project INCREDIBLE HULK 6.2L with 6L80E
Where at in tulsa are you picking up these fine motors?
|
Re: project INCREDIBLE HULK 6.2L with 6L80E
while the rear suspension is all apart, i took the opertunity to weld on a drain and fill port on the rear end....this has to be one (of many) dumb things ford did, make the 9" so that you must remove the wheels, brakes, axles, and thirdmember, just to change the rear end fluid...that is just dumb planning IMO...

Re: project INCREDIBLE HULK 6.2L with 6L80E
don't hit anything with that drain while driving, that would leave a mess... are you gonna put a guard on it?
|
Re: project INCREDIBLE HULK 6.2L with 6L80E
i dont think that'll be a problem.... ill have to see what its gonna look like with the new suspension, but im sure it'll be fine. if not ill make it flush
|
Re: project INCREDIBLE HULK 6.2L with 6L80E
Are you going with a 4 link on the rear now?
|
Re: project INCREDIBLE HULK 6.2L with 6L80E
